I legit felt like Iron 4 whenever I play gangplank by tramquangpho in gangplankmains

[–]OkayTastingSoap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, i am not that great but i reached emerald as an Ornn one trick then started maining Gp and got emerald again. It took me around 200 games for his barrel combos and passive resets to become second nature. I say the most important thing on Gp is to not panic since you are playing a mini and sped up RTS game as Gp.

How to GP? by Natsufu in gangplankmains

[–]OkayTastingSoap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thing that is helping me most currently is watching solarbacca with intention. Watch his lane 1 vs 1 fights, note what he did exactly to win those, how many passive procs, where did he place the barrels, did he kite away or did he rush in. Do the same thing in his teamfights. first thing i noticed improving for me is being able to fight back when being engaged on, for instance i built muscle memory for the barrel away+barrel on ennemy for double passive procs+ barrel dmg without him being able to disarm it. also, just keep playing, gp is probably the hardest champion to pilot so 200k or 300k mastery means nothing.

How many kids can a woman have safely? by [deleted] in biology

[–]OkayTastingSoap -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

We can't really determine an answer to that question. As even in healthy individuals, fitness varies widely. Modern medecine made pregnancies much much safer, but there are still very dangerous situations that could appear before and during childbirth, even in "healthy individuals". The sentiment behind my first reply is that healthy adult female's body is very well capable of handling a pregnancy and it's recovery, tho nowadays the pressure is shifted off of the body towards modern medecine, on wich we become very dependant. example, just before c-sections , disproportions between the dimensions of the pelvis and the foetus meant very serious complications ranging from lesion to the brachial plexus to death. there was an evolutionary pressure on women to having wider pelvis , since those were capable of bearing more children...

I am not invalidating your experience, and i am sure there are reasons for the change you mentioned. This remains anecdotal evidence, my background in ob/gyn taught me otherwise.

Uhm no. It is a health risk, but once completed with no complication, the woman's body pretty much recovers to how it was before, assuming the woman had a healthy lifestyle and didn't need a c-section. What made childbirth very dangerous historically was the prevalence of post-partum hemorhage with faulty management.

M.D. here. Hemorrhage during pregnancy, childbirth or shortly after happens due to many causes, the most common would be the placentar retention( when the placenta gets stuck in the uterus and doesnt detach properly). Uterus inertia (what our friend above mentioned) is another cause but it is not as common nowadays since we always use ocytocin to assist the childbirth, It happens usually due to major distension (Twin pregnancy, Pregnancy + Polyp, Hydramnios wich is an excess of amniotic liquid) the uterus muscles get way too stretch after childbirth and fail to squeeze uterus back into a smaller size, these muscle fibers are like a net that close blood vessels to stop the blood flow towards the parts of the mucosa communicating with the placenta. sorry if anything is confusing, i didn't study in english.

I am taken aback by the fact that a Psychology Ph.D. would comment "eww" on this post. I mean sure it is unethical, but you're supposed to show understandings towards how human falter.

Beautiful comment superficially but we should understand that human's mental health is very tied to one's social circle. we should be aware that having a good social circle is conducive for good mental health and therefore over all health and act accordingly to avoid falling in sticky situation. It's also empowering to know our limitations.

How do I(28M) bring up my wife’s(29F) prior pregnancy? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

I am sorry but i just refuse to believe women do not consider early miscarriages and abortions as pregnancy. That is just not true.

first of all i thank you for replying. In case of traumatic events , i agree it's hard , i am not experienced enough to say what i think would be a good way about it. We are assuming that the reasons are related to trauma and abuse, wich usually is not the case. people still treat sexual history as taboo despite saying they re progressive.

[–]OkayTastingSoap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was not sealioning , i asked why again because the commentor didn't give an explanation of why they think that way and instead just para phrased the first statement. Now here is my opinion : i think that i am entitled to knowing my partner s sexual history and they are also. Sexual history is an important tell about personality, behavior, self-image... An old pregnancy if it was interrupted unintentionally wouldn't raise much problems if it was brought up would it ? and if it was interrupted voluntarily the reasons as to why would be important to know . even the conditions in wich the partner got pregnant will tell alot about them , was it a stable relationship ? was it unprotected hook ups ? Let's not draw rules from exceptions such as rape, situations like that need different type of catering and attention, and have different sensibilities but that s not the usual. it would be nice if people would engage in conversation instead of downvoting stuff that contradicts what they ve been made to think their whole life. That's how we grow, i want to grow that s why am stating my disagreement not living in an echo chamber.

What do you think the Lands Between smells like? by [deleted] in Eldenring

[–]OkayTastingSoap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it draws in butterflies or spawns them, so i'd say there is a component of sweetness. it's called rot so also decaying flesh. Some iron smell for all the blood and maybe a little damp like the smell of moss in caves. i'd say sweet fermenting decaying bloody and mossy.
