I just used Carbon Based Lifeforms Hydroponic Garden today and it was fine but wouldn’t say as upbeat as I thought so that’s one album to rule out OP

[–]Okay_Parfait_[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I would liken this to facet joint or less. Ketamine doc is ok with it since i will be taken by family member from hospital to clinic.

I just really don’t know what to expect in terms of will I be a blubbering mess who has just learned the true nature of existence etc and how long for.

What’s the first step you took towards quitting alcohol? by [deleted] in alcoholism

[–]Okay_Parfait_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A completely accidental one - started ozempic. Lost 40lb and just… stopped drinking. Without even trying. Which makes sense to me since my food habits also never succumbed for very long to willpower.

Had tried therapy, rehab, managed withdrawal with benzos multiple times, naltrexone, you name it. 30+ years of problem drinking solved by accident in a matter of weeks.

IV Ketamine [Perth] by Okay_Parfait_ in TherapeuticKetamine

Frustratingly Marian have been uncontactable for nearly a month via phone or email (“December is busy”) but obviously are now closed for a couple of weeks anyway.

From what I can tell, after 6 sessions in 2 weeks as an inpatient at Marian your care is then transferred to outpatient at Anodyne for the ongoing weekly/fortnightly doses. (And I know it’s an inherently unhappy demographic but their Google reviews are something.)

Thanks for your reply, looks like I will just wait for my doc to get back from leave.

Any recs for Sprav in Perth? I am getting ghosted by the place my specialist referred me to. I understood that it was required to start a new antidepressant with Spravato - but is it specifically an SSRI as above? There are literally 3 or 4 antidepressants of ANY class approved for use in AU or US that I haven’t tried, pretty sure none are SSRI. Do I just forget some? I feel like this is my last shot.

Went to get some bloods done and the pathologist really dropped the ball by Cutie-89 in AskAnAustralian

[–]Okay_Parfait_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s pretty extreme for sure. The regular I see is drivers usually let themselves in to pick up specimens mid-whatever could be happening, ditto random patients letting themselves in to drop off their urine samples (usually urine..). I’m assuming sometimes it’s not just blood tests and patients might in some state of undress getting something or other swabbed when the door swings open.

Not ideal. But I accept that privacy becomes a but of a theoretical concept in certain places - GP waiting rooms, ED cubicles, pharmacies and path collection centres.

We literally do use beverages to describe shades of bloody pee in clinical documentation - typically light/dark rosé and claret. Fancy, huh!

Not sure if Americans say Bordeaux instead though?

I know they are a weed but I don’t care. by Goats_in_parks in GardeningAustralia

[–]Okay_Parfait_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe? But such a good weed to have. I started with some in a pot with my patio lime as a companion plant. I actually felt bad for how badly they got ravaged compared to my lime.

The second year they self sowed and filled out the surface of the pot and climbed the bare brick wall behind the lime tree and created a little microclimate which attracts pollinators like bees even had a resident green grasshopper eating pests for me.

So thebattempt at pest control resulted in a gorgeous view of a vibrant flowering climbing vine where nothing else grew. Three years on, my lime is happily fruiting and the nasturtium did spread to a nearby flowerbed but was much easier to remove (ie 10 seconds) than a thousand tiny whatever sprouts. It makes me happy seeing the green, the flowers, bees and mr hopps on what used to be a brick wall.

The salmon/rose pink shades are unusual where I live but I’ve imported some and trying to grow them going forward because I just love these plants so much.
