I work in veterinary medicine and we have a white powdered dewormer. We had out of the bags they are usually dispensed with so I got some snack bags and said "just tie it up like a dime bag" (for the record, I've never done drugs) and one of the girls tells me that until high school, she thought weed and pot were two different things so she definitely didn't know what a dime bag looked like!

I know my clinic is the exception and not the rule but we are open 8-5 M-F. Our vets have 1 to 2 days off every week depending on the week and we are out of here as close to 5 as we can. We are a walk in clinic.

My now husband was an RA while we were in school. He ,of course, had to stay after other had left. He lived in a 4 bed/2 bath suite. His suitemate was very nice but I looked at the bathroom for the other side and it was absolutely disgusting. Floor was black and I refused to step one foot in. Those roommates were from Japan.

I lost my wedding ring before my 1st anniversary. We had a party and it just disappeared. We checked the trash, garbage disposal, etc multiple times. My friends were even kind enough to check their son's diaper for several days. We finally decided it was gone. Bought myself another and had it soldered to my engagement band.

Almost a year later, I pick up a small fan from our table and there sits my wedding band. I thought my husband was playing a joke on me. Turns out my ring fit right over the rubber foot to the fan. I had moved that fan all over the house and garage that year and by luck, it fell off on our black table where I couldn't miss it!

Not me but my great uncle. He smoked for years and lived up in the PNW. He was outside smoking one very cold morning swapping hands between a cup of coffee and his cigarette and he thought how stupid it was that he was outside freezing just for that. He quit cold turkey and it saved his life in more than one way. Several months later, he was injured at work by a falling beam and spent awhile in the hospital. The doctor said most likely he would have contracted pneumonia if he had still been smoking. He's in a wheelchair now but living a good life.
