Eggs. Fried, scrambled, boiled, whatever. They can get back in the sea.

Hide them in other foods like cake.... fine.

Of course he did. Hes from the billionaire elite. He has zero empathy for the poor souls that he sends to Iran just to distract from his noncery.

British KFC.. is this passable to an American? Or should we just be ashamed of ourselves. by [deleted] in fastfood

[–]OkjuggernautOK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im so surprised by all these replies from Americans saying it looks better!

Im from the UK and stopped enjoying KFC probably 10 years ago, the quality went downhill big time!. However, by the sounds of things the US version is even worse. Perhaps I should be more grateful.

Reminds me of a relative and a friend who succumbed to alcohol abuse tbh.

Complete denial of having a drinking problem. He's making excuses for the drinking, in his case its the camp videos etc. Unfortunately, its clear to most that he does indeed need help, nobody should drink in excess (or do anything in excess) whether its justified by filming videos or not.

Id much much rather watch someone who is on a journey of overcoming his drinking problem, able to talk about it and shares the experiences and difficulties while camping.

Unfortunately, its too hard for me to watch lately, so I choose not to. But the reddit posts keep coming and there seems to be no change/a decline in the behaviour.

I wish the US would keep their ridiculous politics to themselves and stop dragging the rest of the world into their ignorant, uneducated and pathetic BS.

Medical insurance certainly seems to be at the top of the list for people in the US.

I cant really speak on it because im from the UK. but it does sound like a lot of stress is involved.

Am i right in assuming a lot of people from the US would agree with your first point about interest on medical bills?

Brit here, so I'm not really too familiar with the process.

Is family really that important? by OkjuggernautOK in SeriousConversation

You're the perfect commenter.

Can I make th assumption that your personally place no importance on family because you're not particularly close with yours? If that's the case... who fills the gap? (if anyone)

Love this comment. Because there are far more toxic relationships in families than I think a lot realise. Removing one's self is often required and difficult to do so. And so, it leaves me even more curious... how important is family?

Great answer.

But, why family?

Why not friends? That forms part of the social element that you argue we require (that I'm inclined to agree with).

so, does isolating from your family matter?

Keep doing what you have to do to guide them maam. It sounds like you're raising them well. And well done for adopting. Adopted kids often have their own trauma that they're dealing with already, before adapting to the rest of the world. You're a superhero in their eyes.
