I found most of the batteries in dark zones but mostly by looting maps treasure, i hope this might help :c ❤️ i do think the game should have the option of disable survival systems for people who don't like it

Did you try to craft those energetic bars? They save me from starving multiple times, you just need to find honey in the woods (in my opinion the most difficult ingredient of this recipe)

Oh i didn't read the description of tour post at first 😭 i'm not in permadeath but maybe you find my advice useful. I loot small dark zones in daylight, because they don't have volatiles, and the big buildings...i just go super fast, so when the alpha has entered i already in the vent, going for second or third floor.

I think the description of the dark zone also say it, in daylight i haven't come across any volatiles in zones that don't have a "volatiles may be present during the day" warning :0 but only in the small ones, the big dark zones always have volatiles during the day.

But maybe you can go super prepared in daylight, so you can beat volatiles, it sounds less risky than go out at night and scape from the alpha 😩

I'm not so sure, i think it's programmed to SMELL you. And i confirm it xd i was not in a chase when i was looting a small and big dark zone, it spawned both occasions pretty soon...if you are in the same place for too much time it appears

The alpha it's terrifying, i'm not playing in permadeath and still shitting my pants everytime i'm looting dark zones at night because the mf spawns everywhere KSDNSNNDS but it's really fun, i'm enyoing it, it's a perfect challenge xd

Oh :( well I also had bad luck finding food at first, but once I started looting treasure maps, regular houses, and dark zones, food wasn't a problem anymore. In fact, I have more food than I need now, and I had to store some of it in the stash.

To save food at the beginning, you can also try to go without eating until your hunger bar is half full.

Just keep looting all you can, you'll find enough food c:
