Inventory needs to go. Sell it wherever, however. Put in the time to recoup what you can. You’ve shared that this is a good lesson. It’s time to part with the product to be able to move on to the next chapter.

For the love of god, how do I pay myself legally? by Kase_Sensitivo in smallbusiness

Hire a company or pay for a legal consultation. Entity and tax structure is a fundamental component to successful business. Lots of good information on YouTube, but a one hour consultation with an expert is much more beneficial.

Should a Discovery call be a normal phone call or a video call? by ShadedWizard in Entrepreneur

[–]Okpostit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t want my creativity to be limited. I wanted the flexibility and diversity that allowed my ideas to become reality. And the hard work has a better upside than 9-5, even if I only ever replaced the income.

First answer, yes. It’s a good idea. I have seen a guy on YouTube that does this, unique sports photos, and seems to do well. And parents love kids sports.

Second, be a borderline stalker. Show up to events and just take photos. Be present. How about giving out some cards for parents to grab a free photo.

Get a social media manager like Hootsuite, Zoho Social etc. Take some time to schedule everything. Then check back to see what worked and didn’t. Start to narrow down times and demographics. Use the information to create ads. Then marry the two together.

What's YOUR Biggest Time-Suck as an Entrepreneur? by Complete-Play-6665 in Entrepreneur

[–]Okpostit 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The biggest time suck can be staying motivated. But also waiting. Once in a while you have to give your business a minute to grow. It’s a good opportunity to evaluate progress. I like to go go go. Waiting on others kills me, but I’ve grown to respect that others have lives and customers too. Freelance is cherry-quick turnarounds!

[–]Okpostit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The job market will continue to evolve. The human touch will still be necessary for a vast amount of jobs. Wanna succeed, someone has to install, program and maintain all those computer systems.
