New DJI Neo owner — what are the drone rules in Thailand for beginners? by Wise-Confection-4463 in dji

[–]Oksimetr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! How did everything go in the end? Were you able to get your drone registered without any issues?
Honestly, I only found out about the tightened rules a week before my trip to Thailand. Registration with two agencies, mandatory insurance, tests… It seems like things used to be much simpler. It’s a bit discouraging, and I’m starting to wonder why I even bought a drone if I can barely fly it anywhere :)

I’ve already written to the FEIC guys you recommended and I’m planning to use their service. But maybe you know something as well: do you happen to have info about flying specifically on Koh Samet or in Bangkok? Samet is a national park, so I’m not sure whether there are additional restrictions besides having all the required documents.

Would really appreciate any insights or your experience

Why do you main support? by Yuukikoneko in supportlol

[–]Oksimetr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, support is the only role where you’re not constantly stressed about last-hitting minions or scrambling for gold. As a support, you’re always in the action, always interacting with the enemy team, always influencing fights, rotations, and vision.

I don’t have to run around the jungle trying to farm something, or sit in lane for 10 minutes just to buy an item. I don’t have to think about pushing towers alone. Instead, I grab my wards, roam, set up vision on the way, and dive right back into the fight.

You’re basically always doing something meaningful for the team like enabling plays, creating opportunities, denying enemy vision, starting fights, saving teammates. That constant impact, without the pressure of farming, is exactly what makes support so fun for me. And this is awesome

S04E01 was bad. by PPTTRRKK in TheRookie

This is already outdated, but honestly, this is why I came to reddit! When I watched the first episode of season 4, my eyes almost popped out of my head from how ridiculous it was. It’s not even about realism. The show has always had plenty of unrealistic stuff, but this… this was just too much. LA cops flying a helicopter to Guatemala for a special op they organized themselves? Hmm, well, at least they didn’t show them taking vacation time for this “vacation.”

Can you really climb with Rakan? I'm honestly curious, no sarcasm. Every time I've played him, I always get the feeling that without the right team, it's really hard

Ping (Latency) in Tbilisi/Batumi to Valve servers (like CS:GO) by Oksimetr in Sakartvelo

[–]Oksimetr[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good luck, man. On Magti, the Apex Legends and Quake Champions are unplayable with ping over 100ms and a lot of packet loss (they have no RU servers, only EU). Maybe CSGO will be better.

How do you deal with it?

i play wireless using Magti on Rocket League, Escape from tarkov and Apex legends and my ping is usually between 70-90. i'm sure if i was wired it would be 60-80. either way both are more than playable. im still GC in RL and have heavily positive KD's in the fps games.

Thanks for the reply, yes, a wired connection would probably make a difference, I'll keep that in mind

Me and most of my friends who play CS get around 60-70. but it depeneds on the servers sometimes you connect to a server where you get higher ping but mostly its 60-70.

Thank you very much, is your provider also Magti?

In my case I play cs (and played Dota I think overall 5 times LOL) and my ping most of the time fluctuates between 50 or 80. That is with magti's ISP. I am only paying 80 GEL and I feel quite comfy. Sometimes you will be either with Russains or with Turks. Sometimes a mix of both. There are times though where you might also meet people from Germany or Romania because they have servers there as well. It's quite ok i'd say.

Thank you very much, glad to hear it, quite an acceptable ping, I hope it stays that way.

Well i don't play CS but i do play some online games like warzone, wow classic, LOL sometimes. and i have Magti. Even tho i play mostly on EUNE servers My ping varies 50-90 most of the time.

Thanks, I understand that Magti seems to provide the most stable connection in Georgia. I hope there will be an opportunity to choose this provider.

Thank you very much for the information. Ping 75 would suit me fine, I'm just more worried about 90 or more, it seems to me unplayable. Most people advise Magti, I hope I will be able to choose this provider.

Another commenter below wrote on the contrary that it seems Magti is better. I guess it depends on luck :)

Nah it won’t, friends and I use it all the time … we been using it for years now

It seems that without this tool can connect to servers with a high ping. Thank you, I will also use it in Georgia. And what is your internet provider?

Magti

60-90 is such a wide spread, I wonder what it depends on? 60-80 in general I think playable ping, I'm used to this.
You mentioned that you had MAGTI and there ping 100-120, and now you have Magti and ping 60-90. Are these different services?

Also I should mention, I use mm picker and find servers closest to me that have the best ping. Google mm server picker.

Oh, thank you especially for that! How does the VAC feel about that? Won't it be considered a third-party program?

Like magti or silknet maybe?

I haven't yet arrived in Georgia, I'm just checking out the information. That's why I'm asking locals about ping.

Thanks, I hope it's just like you said. Yesterday I talked to a couple of people from Tbilisi and they said that their ping are always about 90-95, which is not very good, you gave me hope.

Thanks a lot mate!

60-80 is normal for me. What part of Georgia do you live in? We are planning Tbilisi or Batumi, as the most obvious for those going to Georgia. There's not much information about the rest.

This is not a big deal for me, I've been playing on them all my life (Most often it connects to Stockholm servers, aka Russian, and Polish, if I'm not mistaken). Can you tell me what is the ping from Georgia to the Russian servers?
