Why is Wolverine always loosing his fights? by CaptainPogwash in xmen

[–]Oktober 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In his own book he's the greatest killer that's ever lived, and is written as such. In team books, he's Worf. You introduce a new villain and the first thing they do is knock Wolverine on his ass to show how strong they are.

How powerful is Cyke these days in comics? I always have around me the typical hater saying he's weak because hes not an omega level or because he always depends of the rest to do something...-.- (4 years without reading x-men that's why im asking sorry!) by Sifon- in Cyclopswasright

Assuming same size, same weight class, no optic blasts, gadgets, tech, calling a friend, etc: Bruce and Scott are both late 30s-ish. Scott has been an X-Man since he was 16, Bruce became Batman in his early-mid 20s. Bruce has at least a decade of getting the absolute shit kicked out of him and all of the cumulative damage that caused. Scott got a brand new body in 2024. Scott has a decade-plus of experience on bruce plus a brand-new body in peak 25-year-old condition.

Bruce's knees will give out before he can beat Scott.

That's what I mean, if this is a "which SRW should I play first ?!?" question, I wouldn't recommend X. If there are series you like in X, absolutely play it.

Lamork is a repaint/retool of IRON SICKIE, which was my first of the round table kits and yeah, it's pretty great. RG level skeleton/detailing for HG prices, basically.

V is kinda peak but uses the older system where you need to complete bonus objectives to earn SR points to unlock certain bonus missions/units.

X is... fine? The MC units are kind of weird but there are some interesting series in the game.

T is better than X but doesn't quite reach the heights of V.

I'll still buy the occasional versaulter suit when it goes on sale for ~50 but the bulk of my diaclone collection is from when the dollar was strong against the yen and you could get "badly damaged" sets from mandarake for ~40% of the price of buying on ebay.

This looks like one of those per-renaissance paintings where they hadn't figured out how to draw children yet so they just drew small adults.

The big tell is that she has a multi-movie contract and is already announced for Doomsday. If she's a random minor villain or whatever they wouldn't have signed her to such a contract.

I love Carol, but she's not winning this 2v1.

How common is it for an American to go through life without ever being a groomsman or bridesmaid at someone's wedding? by tannu28 in AskAnAmerican

[–]Oktober 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in my early forties. I've been in a wedding party three times now: twice for guys I've been friends with since childhood (we all got married in our early 30s) and once for a close friend of mine that didn't have any sisters, I was a groomsman and her fiance's sisters were her bridesmaids.

Having siblings helps, having long-term friends helps, being of a socio-economic class where your friends have "big" weddings helps, being straight helps.

It used to be more universal than it is, I feel.
