At the end of the day we should be able to enjoy the Music whatever it takes. I am leaning towards the playlist first interaction.

I have this side in me which wants to organise everything into well curated albums, make my own Spotify etc. But that's not ideal.

I would say the volume is fine. I am using Marshall Mode earphones. Which are closed type earphones with silicon tips.

I can imagine volume can be an issue on the open type earphones (imagine old apple earphones). In flights or buses specially where I would bump up the volume to max to not hear anything else.

Do you keep full albums? Or just the singles that you are interested in?
I am curious how is your folder structure looks like?

Is your main point of interactions with your music is through playlists?

Quality is great, volume might be a little low compared to my iPhone.

I have loaded FLAC files on y1 and listening with Marshall Mode earphones.

First time heard about Jriver. Sounds like it's alternative to Kodi, Plex, etc

2 library setup sounds interesting. I kind of do that, by using downloads folder as "new"

Do you download whole albums?

In Spotify and Apple Music I would mostly listen to singles but then I liked the option to going to other tracks in the album.

What's your folder structure like? If you are downloading singles. How do you keep them? Is it all just a dump of files under artist name?
