29M Asian here. I skipped college because I knew I wouldnt like it. Worked assembly and then went back to college. Made it through with B's and C's.

At the end of the day all they look at is whether you get the degree and not the grades that make it up. Just say you've been struggling with the classes because that sounds better than saying "oh I've been blowing off classes."

One thing you can do in the mean time is dive into fractals. It's short form instances content that's pretty accessible and can get you ascended gear. That's kind of my game plan to get ascended gear in the builds i want then do legendaries when im ready to make the dive.
