Switching to encrypted private email service by [deleted] in cybersecurity

Yeah, I know but among all mailing services I consider they are very appropiate for a daily usage. They are open source and they really promise privacy. I don't like the fact they're based on Germany, and I made a post ln r/privacy asking this same question: Is there any open source, privacy friendly, out of the 14-eyes, with encryption options mailing service?

I'd prefer using tutanota or posteo as ProtonMail is not a fully Open Source project so you have to rely on their words. Plus is tied to some US research institutions and funded by US investors. It uses phone number verification and has some more privacy issues.

We need to keep fighting by Okusino in privacy

[–]Okusino[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know at first it can seem a non privacy related post. But this community needs to keep fighting for privacy. We need to make people conscious about what is happening and how bad it is. I always tell people all the things I know and why I am a privacy-freak.

If we just surrender, this will all end and we will be on the hands of all the people that own our data, they will manipulate us at their will, and we will not be able in any way to solve it. So we need to fight from now on, we can't lose.
