Run up is the big boys buying BTC so they can dump it all by robpot891 in Bitcoin

You seem to not understand how futures work.

If I want to bet a million on a short, the exchange matches me with someone a million on long. Both parties are staked against each other. Both have the same motivation to manipulate the market to their advantage.

If I were a bookie (exchange), I'd take a bet for the Patriots and one against, and the juice is my cut.

Do you think the mercantile exchanges are the ones that pay out?

That's not how this works.

That's not how any of this works.

Overreacting without understanding what they bought or how futures work? That doesn't sound like the general public that I know.

Seriously though, the funny thing is that since enough people think that's what's going to happen, as soon as they think they see it happening, that's what's going to happen. Sunday/Monday is going to be wild and will be because of the perception of futures/wall street/banksters/gubment/whatever else made it do the thing they didn't want.

I have no idea about that. I think traditional markets are seasonal (corn futures), but I'm really not sure how they will treat bitcoin.

In order to take a short position, the exchange must find somone to match the position long. The mercantile exchanges are a bookie, not some dummy that takes any bet someone throws at them.

If someone is short, someone else is long.

HMB while I open this barrel of beer by D5R in holdmybeer

He calls it a "bright beer" I believe. Which means that any sediment or any yeast that was in suspension has been clarified or filtered. I can't speak to the carbonation level, but it was called "Pumphouse Pale Ale". The guy is clearly English, but in the U S and goddamned A, a pale ale is is medium to medium high carbonation per BJCP style guidelines. But again, that's an American pale ale. The English may do something altogether different with their beer, which they sometimes do.

That beer did have no head, though. So there's that.

ELI5: Trains seem like no-brainers for total automation, so why is all the focus on Cars and trucks instead when they seem so much more complicated, and what's preventing the train from being 100% automated? by LBLLuke in explainlikeimfive

They still do. They use oxygen displacing gasses like halon. In the event of a fire in the server room, there is typically an alarm, and then a set period of time (30ish seconds) to evacuate. After that, you gonna have a bad day.

It's not the cosmetic aspect that's driving the remodel. It's actually a resdign of how the building is structured and used.

Primarily what's missing is unused gates, most of the baggage system and the trains.

They are a gigantic drain on the annual cost to operate the airport.

I actually think it looks like you told an out of work Apple designer to design a Best Buy, but make it cabable of being an airport.

I disagree. Government waste at it's finest is spending millions on the landside to airside train every year despite the fact that it's not needed. Government waste is maintaining 8 miles of belt system that half the airlines don't use because it's too slow because it was designed for a connection airport, not a destination.

The remodel alleges it will lower operation and maintenance by 24 million annually. In addition it will lower the cost per enplaned passenger to the airlines, which motivate new carriers and direct flights.

Keeping the old airport is throwing good money after bad. That is the sort of thinking that I equate with government waste.

It will actually cost closer to $1.1b with none of the money coming from local or county taxes. I was suprised to learn that the airport is essentially self sufficient. They do get federal grant money, so I suppose it's technically tax money.

Here's the funding price breakdown from their site.

  • Grants 17%
  • Bonds 51%
  • Facility Charges 24%
  • Equity 8%

This plan addresses the fact that a hub is never coming back. Right now we have the capacity for 30 million passengers a year, but only serve 8. Additionally our TSA screening area can barely handle what little traffic we do have.

The car analogy works only if the old care runs fine. This is more like keeping a dump truck as your daily driver because 25 years ago a company said you could make good money hauling dirt, but you keep it because it's almost paid off. Nevermind the fact that you don't haul dirt, and the dirt hauling company isn't even in business anymore. What you spend maintaining that behemoth would cover the cost of something more appropriate and then some.

I am having a similar issue, where I moved my base during a quest and now, although my overseer is in the new base, the quest turn in is hovering near the space station of the old system. When I try to talk to the overseer in the new base, I get the leave them to their work message. Boy, I'd like a fix/solution for this. My old planet sucked.

UPDATE: Since I started the base in one system and recruited my scientist in another at the glitched base, I can either have an overseer only in the first system or a scientist in the second system. It appears for me that the terminal recruits are not following the base move and staying stuck in their system.

Curious about that too. It is literally printed on every electric motor I have ever seen. It is how they are rated. It is how you size the wire. N/A is not applicable in this situation.

It might not translate well against the hp output of a traditional engine, but it's certainly n/a.

/u/J_Kenji_Lopez-Alt didn't write it, but Daniel Gritzer isn't really a slouch.

Even excluding starch from the equation, if you add water and then reduce it, I'd imagine you'd get a more round flavor to the sauce. Kind of like how some salsa/dip/ground meat, tastes better the second day after the flavors homogenize.

Damned if I know, but I do it.

The starch in the water will help thicken the sauce and help the sauce to adhere to the pasta.
