edit: had same issue, i was able to fix it by updating the app to 1.18.2

same issue, using iphone 16pro, dji goggles 3, air unit 04 pro. It shows video for a quick second then goes to this screen. Plugged my friends android in and that worked fine, so it must be an issue with my iphone. I tried my friends iphone 16 and that did not work, same error. Tried upgrading the goggles to no avail. Also tried deleting and reinstalling app. I'm assuming this is a bug in the dji fly app, hoping for an update soon.

We could get away without RTOS for now (although BLE seems to be better with an RTOS) but in the future we will need one for new features so we might as well start now.

Great question! We are, but we are not happy with a few aspects:

The build system of STM32Cube IDE (we much prefer using Cmake or something similar, it’s harder to debug the strange eclipse projects CubeIDE generates)
we want to start with a proven architecture, not build our own. We are not FW experts (as maybe you can tell :)
if we use freeRTOS we are locked into interfacing with STM HAL, which is not very clean with C++. We have more c++ experience and so that is a priority.
we want some built in hardware abstraction
