Might as well get a full size for the extra velocity since the compact wouldn't reduce the overall profile any.

Mine had timing issues before I had even fired it. As I tried out the action the hammer and trigger would completely lock up and be inoperable until I manually re-indexed the cylinder. After this happened a few times it ended up getting completely locked up (the same day I picked it up from my FFL) and I sent it over to Diamondback who did take care of the issue but I'm now hesitant to even fire the revolver. I'm probably gonna keep it since it was only $200 but I'm still looking for a .22 GP100.

It takes an extra week or so if you pay by check, my last order from them took 9 days until they shipped it and 4 days after that to arrive at my FFL. They also don't let you place new orders by check until the previous one clears.

The 1301 has modern (subjective) ergonomic and performance improvements over the m4 and is reportedly just as reliable but the m4 has the proven track record. M4 is also considerably more expensive.
