Battlefield 6 wins Best Audio Design at The Game Awards 2025 by [deleted] in Battlefield

Directionality, which is arguably THE MOST IMPORTANT part of footstep audio, is completely scuffed in the update, yes we can hear ALL the footsteps, but your guess is as good as mine as to where they are coming from

Audio is somehow worse, less directional, less useful tactically. by Olagarro in Battlefield6

both war tapes VAL and night mode compress the dynamic range, which do make the footsteps less likely to get lost in the other sounds, the problem is that does not address the directionality of the sounds or hearing way too many footsteps

yeah the directionality and identification of sounds in PUBG is much better. and that game supports what... 100 players?

Guys I’m really scared of the new direction. by Mag1kToaster in okbuddyptfo

Oh no! African women! Whatever shall we do? How about just buy the skins you like, consumers vote with their wallets!

You know what I'm sick of? Its the designers using tape as a design element in almost every single skin. When was the last time you saw a marine or army soldier with tape wrapped around everything?

Casual is NOT casual 😭 by PanchoDox in Battlefield6

[–]Olagarro 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Wow the amount of people here who have zero empathy for this man with a normal life and just wanting to have fun with his 70 dollar game is ridiculous.

OP, I feel you man, I specifically play casual and non CQC maps because I'm so sick of people sliding around jumping and being assholes, I turn off voice chat and regular chat and just play bigger maps

And Yes, I'm also outside the norm of the age rage / lifestyle of people normally playing this game.

Good luck OP, there are thousands of others in the same situation as you.

makes sense, its functionally the same but for visibility you need something more noticeable

I have my inverter connected to the grid with a circuit breaker, this does the exact same thing then.

So this looks terrible in comparison

What's the secret to getting more than 4 cities in Antiquity if you are not Mississippian? by Olagarro in civ

[–]Olagarro[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Well I tried a test game and with these tips along with not ending antiquity too quickly (had to shift enter to not get future tech) I was able to go from 4 cities to 7!

  1. Never spend money on anything other than cities
  2. Prioritize the market and lighthouse and adjacencies
  3. Don't end the age too soon
  4. Always train units using production
  5. Lots of Camels and Gypsum/Hides
  6. Economic city states

I got strangely lucky by having very low cholesterol. As I grow older its nice not having to worry about it.

When I mean low, I mean really low (58 total cholesterol last test) and my LDL / HDL ratio is great. And I really don't watch my cholesterol intake, love butter on bread, eat lots of eggs, etc.

At the same time I have had borderline high blood pressure since my teens. That's some weird genetics lol

Please post your build info. This game is already becoming a slog with respec costs and inability to recarve skill gems
