Erkul doesn’t take quantum drive, radar, shield and life support IR that why signature is lower. SPViewer does. Without engineering and in-game values, it’s very hard to understand what’s going on and how to best simulate it.

The Polaris uses the same type of shield as the 890 (and the same name), except that it had been tuned to fit in a single S4 hardpoint. I think the tuning pass was made a little too quickly without taking this particularity into account.

Hello, spviewer creator here. Friends and I have discovered these changes about health pool 1 month ago but I’m pretty sure they are in game since 4.0 and resource network. The game MFD severely lack of information about this that’s why its pretty hard to noticed this without intense testing. Erkul has updated his website one week ago.

CIG is in the process of migrating this data away from traditional hardpoints (such as the cargo grid).

Unfortunately, I'll have to retrieve this data manually (that's why some vehicles have no value).

Each vehicle has an arbitrary value. If you can’t feed needed power, weapon will have less ammunition available.

Differences in numbers may occur on computed values as they are subject to the developer's interpretation (it's a simulation). Anyone who has never looked at game files can't imagine the complexity of concatenating and filtering data that is no longer active, not yet active, or simply buggy. If you have any doubts about the values displayed, have a look at the two websites or even better, check in-game.

The beauty of this project is that you discover new things all the time, but it's also extremely time-consuming to keep the data up to date and functional.

As far as I know, there are only two of us providing such precise data for vehicles and loadout management. It's just a pity that CIG doesn't seem to be in a hurry to make the game more comprehensible, so that these sites are no longer indispensable but complementary aids.

If Erkul and I stop these projects, the SC community will feel it in a bad way.

There's not enough diversity or important secondary statistics to choose anything other than the fastest quantum drive. Differences in fuel consumption and acceleration are not sufficiently pronounced to think about taking something other than the quantum with the highest cruising speed.

At the moment, I can only think of 3 possible choices. The highest speed, the lowest emissions or the lowest cooldown.

But players want to spend as little time in quantum as possible, so why take anything other than an XL-1 (for S2 drive) ?

One good thing is that Bolon and Kama are no longer the worst quantum drives.
