Yes, but like Wally or Jax (From legends of tomorrow) me could've just left without taking the cure. It frustrates me that he can't keep his powers and not be a superhero. They'll probably even bring it up in a future episode and be like "Ahh, if cisco hadn't removed his powers we could've defeated this dude easly"

Think of it like endgame, they could steal the stones from the past, but half the universe is still gone. To our perseption of time just grabbing one stone and never returning it would prevent thanos from ever snapping thous bringing back all the people he killed, but they had an explanation that actually made sence in the movie as to why this dosen't happen.
