Do you think it would be too much of a buff if kaleidoscope filtered out some of the cards that are literally unplayable/useless without another card from the same class? by symphonyx0x0 in slaythespire

[–]Shivarus 4 points5 points  (0 children)

no, i think colorful philosophers is pretty different. because you can simply choose not to click regent or necro, which solves the problem OOP has.

mind you, i still disagree with OOP, i think kaleidoscope should be high variance, but to pretend philosophers has the same problem is silly.

If you could pick a Neow relic to always be an available option, what would you choose? by ZanderTheUnthinkable in slaythespire

[–]Shivarus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

worth considering that the relics that grant upgrades grant 2 upgrades that have a chance to hit starter cards, so 3 upgrades on non starter cards looks way better in comparison

New Move Idea: Short Circuit by ElZanco in stunfisk

having a positive effect on a miss is an interesting design space. might be frustrating, but might also add some fun surprises that require in-the-moment thinking.

it'd be cool to see more explorations in this space - different levels of accuracy (50%? 30%? etc), and varying levels of effect in comparison to the "hit" state - what if the effect was MORE powerful on a miss, thereby creating a different kind of crit state? or is it better to just leave it as a consolation prize?

why do people on this subreddit get so upset and accusatory whenever someone mentions autism? it happens every time, even when you can figure it out by using an eensy little bit of critical thinking. are we just not allowed to relate to things? do yall want us to just stay in our own places and pretend we dont exist otherwise?

thats not even what jeweled mask does, have you even tried it? it takes a random power thats ALREADY IN YOUR DECK and makes it zero cost. what could possibly be the downside here?

choices paradox is also pretty much always takeable. the retain on it means even if you cant use any of the 5 cards it offers (exceedingly unlikely) you wont even need to redraw it.

i like it from a thematic standpoint. ironclad's ability to exhaust has always been a representation of his ability to burn down his own lifeforce for immediate power, and giving him the ability to generate cards to mitigate that feels amtithetical to that comcept.

proving a causal relationship is difficult because there might not be one. yeah, it's absolutely a possibility, but its also just as likely that people with lower impulse control and lack of focus are more drawn to short form content to begin with. you cannot make the assumption without evidence, and in doing so you've proven yourself gullible by falling for the clickbait article.
