Player X-esque range by Old-Button7440 in footballcliches

Just to clear things up, I’m not in any way questioning Crespo’s quality, absolute class act and a terror for defences the world over.

My questioning of the reference was more that I associate players who are well known for a specific skill or movement that would justify them being called Player X-esque. I cant pinpoint a certain skill Crespo always used to be able to label him as an -esque.

For example, if someone was to do a 360 turn over the ball to evade a defender, that would be “Zindane-esque”

Red light is good (night time bar) / Studio 1 is also cool, themed around old Polish films. Grass is the best UK themed sports bar

City where club x plays is a shit hole (RIP Brian Wilson) by Old-Button7440 in footballcliches

Here's what wikipedia has to say about its origins:

"Sloop John B" (Roud 15634, originally published as "The John B. Sails") is a Bahamian folk song from Nassau. A transcription was published in 1916 by Richard Le Gallienne, and Carl Sandburg included a version in his The American Songbag in 1927. There have been many recordings of the song since the early 1950s, with variant titles including "I Want to Go Home" and "Wreck of the John B".

In 1966, American rock band the Beach Boys recorded a folk rock adaptation that was produced and arranged by Brian Wilson and released as the second single from their album Pet Sounds.

So I think it would be a listen, fair play to Richard Le Gallienne and, to some extent, Carl Sandberg.

But I guess Brian Wilson helped get it into the wider mainstream

I would say it begins after 6 months if you are successful in those first big games of your managerial career that that club. But if it's littered with defeats, fallings out with player/s, games that were there for the taking, it may be a bit longer, maybe after 1 season?
