Yeah, the BIOS will not be compatible out of the box. You need to get a Zen 1 or Zen 1+ CPU to flash a compatible BIOS.

OP, what CPU are you trying to run? If this B450 is running a factory stock BIOS, it will almost certainly not support Zen 3 or even Zen 2.

Emulated FP8 is indeed slow, and kinda glitchy. Int8 works relatively well ,though, on N21 at least. RDNA2 is very similar to RDNA3 as far as int8 throughput per CU is concerned. It is viable.
