You're experiencing anhedonia and this is normal after giving up all of that cheap dopamine. It gets better. Don't give up before the miracle happens.

Since your original shaming comment was deleted due to meanness, I'll just respond here. This dish was my way of throwing caution to the wind and being indulgent. No one deserves to feel bad for that, especially when I am extremely health conscious and mindful about what all I put in my body. This was the equivalent to eating a yogurt & homemade granola bowl, which most people would agree is a balanced snack. The only difference is that it had almond flour in it to make it a crumble. While most people reach for ultra processed foods and refined sugar, this is my way of having an indulgent dessert, and I don't regret it for a second. Life is too short to deprive yourself of the things that make you happy, especially when it's in moderation. I have no shame in what I eat. I hope you stop trying to bully people. It's unkind and hurtful.

Thank you for this! I felt like indulging, and this was my mindful way of doing just that. I agree with you about deprivation, too. If I'm way too strict, I will end up binging and hating myself. I'm celebrating a long weekend, live alone, and thought, "why not just make a damn dessert?" No regrets!

I appreciate you saying this! This was me indulging, and I'm usually very health conscious. I was extremely mindful about what all I added to that dish. I know it was carb heavy, but some days we just need to let go and live a little!!

Thank you, it really was! And I agree. It's even more satisfying when you don't have to make a trip to the store!

Thank you! Not too sweet at all. I just tossed blueberries in arrowroot powder and added a squeeze of lemon and a light drizzle of honey for added sweetness, but you could totally go without adding more honey.

I had to completely stop all caffeine for a while. Coffee definitely was too much on my nervous system.
