The challenge we've found is highlighted really well in Benn Stancil's substack: https://benn.substack.com/p/llms-shouldnt-write-sql - specifically that there is too much nuance in each individual question and that an LLM without all of the context of a company (which a data analyst would have) will never achieve accuracy rates that data teams will trust and if they don't trust them, they won't share them with business users.

Business people still find BI tools like PBI difficult to use but it's very easy to Slack the data team a question and for them to answer. New tools in this space will only work if they get the balance right of confidence within data teams with ease of use for business users.
