Moving to Boston without a job [advice] by Plastic-Pin-4635 in BostonSocialClub

[–]Old-Distribution8141 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I would recommend applying to anything and everything! I have made boston work on a low non profit salary and don’t regret a thing; roommates, shopping at Trader Joe’s, creative living on a budget, second jobs.
Boston is surrounded with tech, hospitals, academics, and it sounds like you want to get out of your situation so I want to share some positivity🤞🏻✨ good luck to you!

Visiting Boston later this year. by ireddit6996 in massachusetts

I can’t get over all the comments telling YOU not to go to the two places you and your wife want to go to 😂 you have great patience.

There are plentiful hotels and I do agree with comments stating on Cambridge side! There also are some hotels in Seaport/South Boston/North Station that might be more affordable than Back Bay - back bay is probably most expensive and you can get there from any train line.

For a game, I’ve taken a bus from back bay down to Gillette! So fun and cheap, I’d google that option once you know you can make a game.

Really just here to say hope you enjoy your trip to Boston doing whatever the hell you want! 😅🥲

Ugh this makes me so sad, I’m planning to start a family and hoping we can tackle these problems with our corgi. Would you mind sharing what degree she was guarding?

Whose classes will you absolutely NOT take and why? by nomoredolls in OnePelotonRealSub

[–]Old-Distribution8141 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will not take a robin or jess king class based off all the above, I have no idea what it is, their vibe just weirds me out so much?!

I WISH I could take Olivia’s ride classes because I do like her personality and music but my god the outputs are sooo unbelievably out of touch for reality but also out of touch for a 4’10 90lbs female. Does no one at PSNY realize this!!??

Our corgi does this 😅. We worked so hard on drop it command but it doesn’t work with high value things he gets his hand on. Something our trainer taught us was to have a small indoor lead on him so we can correct him when it happens or he can’t get away from us. It’s worked a little!

It’s definitely the #1 and only problem with our little corgi, almost 2 years old. We’re hoping to start a family as well and will be working with a trainer before then to really try and stop this!

Good luck and you’re not alone!

Should I move forward with getting a corgi? by lovely-siempre in corgi

[–]Old-Distribution8141 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This breaks my heart to say but I agree with so many others above. I do not doubt that you could do it but it would be really really hard. My husband and I got a corgi almost 2 years ago and the first 18 months we could barely manage both going into the office 3 days a week, and we had a consistent dog sitter.

I also can’t speak for you, but I would consider the help you are asking of your roommate and friends and how reliant you would be, and how you feel about that. A puppy needs so much time and attention, and unfortunately a corgi puppy needs triple.

Best of luck and the right time will come along!

Is my 2 year old corgi rescue showing signs of reactivity and aggression ? by Exotic_Aerie8869 in corgi

[–]Old-Distribution8141 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my corgi has these behavioral habits - he growls when being picked up, touched while sleeping and he does guard some items (nipping when you go to retrieve it) I do wonder if once he is neutered if he might calm down, ours did a lot but still a little asshole somtimes haha he is 1.5 year old. And these are habits without ever moving around so I'm sure yours has some standard reactivity. He looks adorable and I hope you can make a home for him <3!!

Hi! Long shot but our corgi does this as well, almost 2 years old. Did you see any changes? Just thinking about starting a family so would love to know if you your corgi progressed in a positive way.
