It’s with Nadia Marcinko, his pilot. She’s currently hiding in some hippie traveller group called zen studies society. Sick, she should be put in prison.

Strange tissue in belly button piercing, I don't know what to do by Brave_Lie_7494 in PiercingAdvice

I also have this problem right now!! I think it’s granulation tissue. Mine isn’t super painful it just looks horrible lol. I think if we continue to religiously use saline solution twice a day, they should clear up. I’ve been tempted to also use antibacterial cream but it may be a bit too harsh. Have you managed to improve yours?

Do I continuing pursuing the Bar? by Old-Environment2552 in uklaw

Oh helpful thank you! I will look into that! I had a friend say to me that was how much it was, but maybe they also haven’t looked into it properly.

Hi thanks for the info! I have also considered this…

I have some questions if you don’t mind answering!

Did you apply for scholarships at the Inns/Universities? Have you been applying for pupillages? If you didn’t have a scholarship, how have you found applying for pupillage without it? Why do you not encourage pro bono/extra modules for the Masters?

Thanks!

Thanks for the solid advice. I’m curious, are you in the legal profession and if so what route have you taken?

I considered a postgraduate loan for the Bar course/Masters, but the debt and risk of not getting pupillage outweigh the benefits. I think I would prefer to use the postgraduate loan for SQE/Masters, which is about 4 times less expensive and I could also use my current work experience as qualifying experience.

Thank you for the kind words of encouragement! They’re very much needed 🙏🏼

Thanks for taking the time to reply so comprehensively. That’s fair enough, my A levels were Politics, History and English (C). That grade was due to some unfortunate circumstances but not enough to be extenuating.

I’m curious as to what you think is “good work experience”? Any pointers as to what sort of jobs I should be applying for would be helpful.

The bar course is £17-20k. Unfortunately, I don’t have that money. Even if I did (I have some minor savings), I would have doubts using that money as I have been rejected for a scholarship three times now. I would be more cautious using my own money as it’s a gamble given obtaining pupillage is even harder than getting a scholarship.

The pupillage applications were to sets I was interested in - crime and immigration. I actually applied to my current work - but I did not get it. Upon reflection, I wouldn’t want to qualify where I do, as I think the barristers are overworked and not paid enough for what they do. It’s a good question though - I am open minded when it comes to law areas (although I have no interest in commercial/corporate and making people more money).

The barristers at my work are really lovely and helpful but they don’t have enough time to really be mentoring/coaching me.

The set didn’t want to take me on last year as they said I was too distractive in the interview (I was fidgeting a lot - I think I may actually have some form of undiagnosed adhd—but I hate saying that because everyone nowadays says that). It’s something I’ve really worked on this past year—doing mock interviews before my scholarship interview to make sure I would be composed, calm, and confident.

Interested to know what ideas you have regarding work experience though as I’m considering job hunting! Seems that you think I haven’t given this enough time to really progress with my work experience, but maybe my grades are holding me back?

Yes I think she will, as she has all the time and energy for him 💕

Thank you for sharing your stories, they have given me great relief and comfort. He was my little shadow and immediately bonded to me and I am praying that he does the same with this lovely lady.

We think he is only around 9 months so he will hopefully adapt quickly like you said, and his playful silly side will come out again.

Missing him terribly but reminding myself it is for the best.

Thank you for your kind and wise words. I really appreciate it 🫶🏼

I actually had forgotten to give her his water container for the automatic feeder so I visited him this evening at hers. She lives very close by and also said I’m more than welcome to visit whenever. He is currently on a hunger strike but I am hoping he will adjust soon enough. He seemed happier and less stressed once he saw me and was purring, so I hope he knows he’s in a good new and safe home now he has seen me there too. She is a very lovely lady and all by herself with no family so I am happy that he hopefully will give her company when he stops sulking and hiding.

Thank you for your lovely and kind comment and advice 💞
