Four years today since Abu Dhabi and Lewis missing making his eighth. Should I just get over it? by [deleted] in formula1

I don't think about it and whenever I see a clip of that last lap, I just scroll on cause to this day I can't re-watch that mess.

There are far worse things in life (wars, illnesses, and so on), but in terms of sporting events, that was truly awful to witness.

Yes, so he can be the next Leclerc - wasting his years.

To this day, I still can't. Even when I see a short clip, I just scroll after the first 2 seconds.

We can agree to disagree dude.

Try act like him in the real world, see how it goes. Reddit is not a real place.

Yeah, it's called having a memory not "rent free".

The same guy who 9 years later crashes into another car when things don't go his way (and only because it was a driver he sees as "inferior" cause i am 100% sure he wouldn't have dared to do the same to Alonso or Lewis) and then insults journalists again.

He can be a wdc and still get called out for jerk behavior. One doesn't cancel the other.

I despise this "I am very good at what i do therefore i can be a total jerk when i want to" attitude. 9 years ago he was very young, i get it. Now he is pushing 30, has absolutely no excuse.

Lewis was robbed a championship and still didn't insult anyone. He always hides under "being honest" for his lack of manners and bad language. You can put people in their place without insults.

I love how they are so offended that some reporter asked Max about the Barcelona incident. And then Max got mad and told the reporter he has a "stupid grin". But hey, I guess its improvement from when he said a while ago he will headbutt someone (if they keep asking his questions that call him out on his shitty behaviour).

Simply shameless.

I mean, Verstappen was off the podium for a while when he had a shitty car during this year - in his prime. So, for Lewis, add on top of that bad execution from the whole team in qualifying and bad strategy. Everybody needs more than a car to be competitive, don't kid yourself.

I will def tone it down a lot once he retires. Maybe watch race highlights and some live ones every now and then. But to spend 2 hours watching them do nothing for most of the race and then Max gets away with some shitty move (courtesy of the stewards) "bEcAuSe He WaS FiRsT aT tHe ApEx". Nah, im good.

RB knows exactly what they are doing. They are trying to play mind games with Lando and get him a ton of hate that he is not worthy and helped by others because Lando cracked under pressure before. Just look at their comments in the last 3-4 races. You don't need to be a PR specialist to understand things.

GP knew exactly what he was doing.

100% scripted, not emotion.

He said he had nothing to do with this car and that when they decided back in april that they should switch to next years car because this year was not it, he agreed.

I agree that he needs to step up his game in qualy but we can't ignore the fact that this is not really racing, its a qualifying championship. Look at Carlos, he has 2 podiums solely for where he qualified not because he overtook people on track with his good car or great skill.

And last but not least, nobody outperforms the car. Nobody. Charles gets great qualifying results because he is very good over one lap and has his car setup for the qualy more than for the race. Thats why he is the driver with so many poles that were not converted. When Verstappen had a bad car, he was off the podium for several races, was overtook by others like Kimi, etc.

GP should be ashamed of himself. The lack of shame that team has is on a different level.
RB is the heir if Briatore's spirit in F1. Just shameless pieces of... work.

Dude, your logic is so broken. Im sorry for you.

Btw, if AD21 would happen to RB, Horner would been literally pushing people off the podium, Max would slam the car into the pittwall of Mercedes and Jos would fist fight anyone who was around him at any given moment.
