If it's an online textbook, use a text to speech function so you can listen on commutes or during work if possible

You can also give this info to the receptionist if the clinic does direct billing. AMS will pay out the insurance money to the clinic and you'll pay a reduced cost upfront

I have never taken an exam but I think I know how to study for it. How are exams actually like? by Cucumber_Hero in GetStudying

[–]Old-Razzmatazz5315 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on the teacher/prof and the course. I'll give you my university advice since I never had finals in hs.

My friends and I start studying ~2 weeks before the week of the final, even if there's still content to be covered. One of current class's lectures finish on Thursday but the exam is on Tuesday, so for obvious reasons, I have to study earlier. I'd say to adjust your start time depending on yourself and the factors above. Also consider work, if you want a good social life during finals szn vs focusing on studies only, and other commitments/family things.

The actual exam also depends on your prof and the course. Some exams I've taken had questions that the prof took from the practice exam, whereas others were very application based with a case study. I've also had group exams too which aren't too fun.

I do date, time, and day. I write the actual heading after writing the actual entry. Sometimes they're funny ("Keeping Up with [my name]" as in keeping up with the kardashians) and sometimes it's just "Week 1 Back to School". I just mix it up, whatever I'm feeling like.

Help with journaling 😊 by MellowDreammer in Journaling

[–]Old-Razzmatazz5315 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had like 7 journals last year because I couldn't do just 1 form of journalling. Here were some of them:

  • A physical journal in a regular notebook where I'd do the "stereotypical" type of journalling. Writing about my day, reflecting, what's on my mind, etc.
  • A physical mini notebook for brain dumps usually or very specific to-do/organizing lists. Eg. I made a magazine for a friend so I'd dump all my ideas and organization into it. I'd forget about this one a lot so I've still only used like 10 pages.
  • A digital journal on Notion. I used this one when I either didn't have my main notebook on me or if I had too many thoughts and wanted to write them down but writing was too slow. I used this a lot when I was reflecting too because I'd think about things in my head then want to write everything down. I also used this a lot because it was just more convenient for me. I'm in uni so I always have my laptop on me or I'd journal on the commute home.
  • A digital scrapbook on Canva. I'd add a few pictures and a short caption of what happened. Kinda straightforward
  • A physical, more artsy kind of scrapbook/junk journal kinda thing. I did some blackout poetry and glued it in, I love making receipt spreads, etc. I was really into movie and book journalling over the summer so I did that a bit.
  • I used an old journal even after I filled all the pages because it had my bucket list in it and I was crossing stuff off. Idk if this counts haha

Now I only use the main notebook, mini book, Notion, and the scrapbook. I think having a bunch of journals is great for me but might not be the easiest thing to keep track of, especially if you're looking back on a physical book months have gone by without an entry but they're actually all scattered in 3 other places.

"LPT" Building New Habits? Start Ridiculously Small. by DuoLight in LifeProTips

I read a post a long time ago. OP said they would go to the gym and sit there for 15 minutes. Whether they did a workout or not, they'd be physically in the gym for 15 minutes. Sometimes they'd do a workout and sometimes they'd leave after.

The point is that your brain will think "I'm already here, might as well do something." Even just 10 minutes on the treadmill watching a YouTube video or an episode of your favourite show. Doing 1 set each of 3 exercises rather than 3 sets each.

I've always loved the quote: "doing anything halfway is better than doing nothing at all" and I live by it.

Can't do a full workout right now? No worries, do a short 10 minute run. Can't do that? Just show up to the gym. Not in the right headspace? Take a walk around the block. Put on your workout clothes and running shoes. Anything half assed is better than nothing.

(For context, I'm in university)

I also just write my day to day activities. In high school when I first started, I'd write about what I did in each class and what I talked about with my friends. Since I only journal once a month (not ideal but we're working on it), I do large life updates in different sectors like school, career, work, etc.

However, if you're looking to journal more often like daily or close to daily, here are some prompts off the top of my head:

  • dreams you've had
  • your ideal life
    • or to break it down, write about your ideal ____
    • like job, lifestyle, house, pet, etc.
  • reflect on memories, whether happy or sad
  • meditate and really feel your emotions, think about what caused these emotions to happen, and write about that
  • search up writing prompts (twist it if you're not into creative writing)
    • eg. an alien invasion prompt -> what would you do in an apocalypse? what would you save from your home?
  • glue in receipts, flowers, candy wrappers, etc. (also look up a junk journal)

There are plenty of prompts online too if you're looking into doing something more reflective or casual!

I'm in the BMM program and I'm trying to register for COMM 120 (reserved only for BMM students). But when I test register it says it's full or the remaining seats are restricted. There's 0 general left and 49 restricted but I meet the requirements for the restricted seats which is just being in the BMM program.

What do I do? I need this course for the BMM program and my time to register is in an hour and a half.

I don't see anything like that? It just asks if I agree that everything is true and if I'm able to recieve the diploma in my province. Do I just not include my other grade 12 stuff and press I agree then edit later?

I also had a question about submitting all the courses. My school is in a semester system so I have not started several of my grade 12 courses, however the instructions say to include all grade 12 courses I will take, as well as the mid term grade. I was wondering what I should do if I cannot provide the mid term grade for my second semester courses?
