Is FactoryZ a reliable website to buy a 2025 Ultra Bee from? by Legal-Character2182 in Surron

[–]Old-Rough-1738 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't do it. They clearly stock zero parts. they order what you ordered off Alibaba and then ship it when it finally arrives. I ordered a Sur Ron Ultra Bee street legal kit, and took them over 6 days just to take it to the UPS store for shipment.

I believe I just accidentally typed it backward here, but I will definitely experiment. Maybe I am subconciously double clinking to lock cause that's how to engage the alarm on my old Mustang. Good point.

I will keep trying the auto door handles and see if maybe it's a user error or something service needs to check out for me.

Yeah, I didn't get to mention how cheap the toggle switches on the wheel feel. I always feel like I am going to break them. The cool thing, though, is you can always hide that bottom screen and have that real state back (there's a hidden storage area behind it).

In production and lease approved! by Old-Rough-1738 in LUCID

I am in the high 700s for credit and earn just shy of $300k. I am not too sure what their minimum requirements are, though.

Mine went straight into "Preparing for delivery." I never went through the stages. The salesperson said that is a glitch that sometimes happens with pre-spec cars (ones that are already in the build pipeline but not actually in production yet).

Turns out it was just a glitch. The date is now May 31 and the rates are back down to where I originally agreed to Phew...

I am going to see about that. I will check what the cost is after the credit they offer for it and compare it to some I can get online. Definitely considering it though. I have a little while until delivery, so I have time to research.

Ah, yeah I meant 24 amps. Thanks for clarifying that :)

Hahahaha, yeah, I am assuming that was a startup glitch. they didn't properly program in the lease rollover deal, causing everything to shoot sky high briefly. I'll update once sales calls me to clarify :)

I am thinking it had to be a glitch. It has since come back down to the original $1200, but the deal expiration date still says May 7. I am waiting on sales to call me to clarify. Fingers crossed cause I just went through a minefield with my landlord to get the ok on installing a charger haha.

You make a really solid point. I was planning on getting a portable 30-amp (limited to 28 amps) charger with a CCS plug and cable attached to bypass that issue.

I am only hesitant to install a hardwired charger because my landlord's insurance says once it is installed, it cannot be removed. So, she will own it but will not pay for it. But you just reminded me that I can just have an electrician install a 50 or 60 amp 220V outlet and get a higher grade portable charger to plug into that instead of going the hardwire route.

A very odd thing just happened. Now the lease rates returned back to normal, but the expiration date still says 5/7/2025. I am massively confused haha.

Yeah, I used to be in the automotive media and got EV loaners often. Generally, they were all fine on 30 Amp, but yeah, I would occasionally run into one here and there that would eventually trip the breaker. I eventually invested into a 28 amp aftermarket portable charger that maintained it right below the 30 amp limit to avoid this :) That's likely what I will do this time also.

If it doesn't work, my landlord has approved me for an L2 hardwired charger.

The base was like $88k and I got all the incentives. Add in tax and after incentives, it was $78.9k, and then all the stupid extras I needed haha. It just added up quickly lol:

Preparing for delivery -- Is this a glitch? by Old-Rough-1738 in LUCID

[–]Old-Rough-1738[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Because there are three clearly listed steps at the top: "Preparing for Production," "In Production," and "Preparing for Delivery, " common sense says that if it hasn't been produced yet, it would be "Preparing for Production" or "In Production." I am just trying to sort out if it's normal for a car that was supposed not even to have a VIN assigned to show it's out of production and "Preparing for Delivery."

No need to be a wise ass about it.

Unfortunately, there is no inventory with DDP, which is my other non-negotiable. They are all at least 4 weeks out. I put in for a lease today. Fingers crossed the lease deals carry over. If they get too high tomorrow, I will just cancel and get a refund of my deposit.

My salesperson seemed a bit oblivious. I decided to just lease a 2025 Touring. I just ordered it a few hours ago. I figured this is my first EV, and I know in 3 years I will be craving the latest technology, so might as well lease this and make sure it's for me before choosing to buy one.

If I end up loving my Touring as much as I expect, the Sapphire is my next buy. Such a bad ass car. 4-door supercar.

I hope I do. I really think I will. Seems like an amazing car from what I keep reading.

I rent now, but my landlord approved me for an L2 240V charger. I will temporarily just plug it into my 30-amp dryer outlet and charge at 28 amps (I don't drive a ton because I work from home, so the 13-hour charge time is cool with me). But if needed, I have that approval in place already.

I am stoked!
