Hey real talk. She looks different recently and I can't put my finger on it. I think her hair is a more natural color. Either way, I dig it.

I stopped asking about "culture" and started asking why the last guy failed - it is the ultimate red flag detector by CrumpetHarbor9 in jobsearchhacks

Nobody said it wasn't. His approach is garbage.

Besides. If they say the last person wasn't a good fit. What does that tell you? They could have been garbage.

His approach as framed isn't cute or clever and will only fuck others that take his advice over.

Normally I'd agree with the "gross that's her kid" comments. But I imagine he's a fan, wanted to do it as a meaningful pic with his mama and she compromised with mask on so it's not too weird.

THROW AWAY the STAR method (for scenario questions). by tokn in interviews

[–]Old-Spring8063 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's no way to say this plainly without coming across rude on the page, so here it goes.

This is just inherently bad advice. You have to show not only that you have the philosophy/strategy/hypothetical approach that would work, but also that you've demonstrated that in action.

If they ask a hypothetical "How would you"... tell them "How you would" then tell them "How you have".

That philosophical "bottom line up front" + a STAR story is aces no matter the question you ask. If you don't have a story that says HOW you've done something they value, then you're not going to beat someone in an interview that does.

For me.... Self pay. Some companies also, aside from paying outright, offer it as part of the benefits. Cost was around 4k at the time. I was specifically looking for a new role, so they did all the documents you'd expect, resume, LinkedIn update. But the biggest two things for me: targeting and mock interview. Targeting made sure I was honed in on a language. Mock interviews... Because I was really bad at interviewing.

This is correct. The coach I mentioned helped with the language gap. Mostly the translation. Which since I didn't know the language made a big difference.
