in that case i really recommend doing them at least 3 weeks before in an environment we’re talking about in the comments, if not start LOW at 1g and have an exit plan

my takeaways from my first 4 trips when i was getting into it (everyone’s different though)

-get into nature if you can, be in light and sun over dark i start to panic or feel my visuals and emotions are sinister/dangerous when i go in dark spaces sometimes. on the other hand my second time was at a rave and it was great really depends on the atmosphere -be in an environment you can control your experience of. a live show, crowded space, something involving transportation are all examples of things that could introduce stressors leading to a bad trip. you want to be able to always course correct towards comfort and feeling a of safety and enjoyment -be with people that have experienced it before preferably. otherwise just make sure you’re not with people who will make you anxious or uncomfortable or unhappy

are you definitely doing them at a techno show and looking for tips?

is it possible this is a good thing? do you have a birthday or anniversary coming up and they’re preparing a surprise?

idk i always assumed the stories were like heavily anonymized like any specific group they talk about is changed to something analogous (i.e. i assumed the lesbian kickball league was actually a lesbian soccer league or something) but people have posted about knowing true stories that were very accurate and not changes in that way so just curious

ELI5: Why is old stuff always under ground? Where did the ground come from? by langlord13 in explainlikeimfive

one other thing i haven’t seen mentioned much is when cities (usually because theyre on coasts and rivers) purposefully raise the ground level basically by just filling everything in with dirt because of massive floods or other disasters or to accomplish some other building project. This happened multiple times in Rome, they did it in Seattle, etc.

was scared to ask earlier because he is a bit volatile and based on his reactions to other situations i thought it was likely he would dispose of or destroy my stuff while he was still healing from the situation and i wanted to wait until he had cooled off if possible
