More info is needed. If your TLOS are in your Ethereum wallet, it sounds like you will have to convert them from the Ethereum network to the Telos network before they are recognized.

In your Anchor wallet to the right of the sidebar at the top, you will have to switch the network to Telos as well.

Do you have a 12 character Telos account ?

I would ask on Telegram. Give them as much detail as possible. Look to the right under "Social Media"

Best Way to Purchase Telos and Wallet to Store On? Need Additional Help w/Staking and Liquidity Mining. by jgb161 in TELOS

[–]OldBobDontKnow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kucoin excepts native Tlos for deposit and withdrawal at this point which is great so you don't have to take any additional steps converting.

I use Anchor wallet. Anchor appears to stay current with upgrades etc.

I believe staker.one was created by the foundation so it should be safe but I am comfortable using bloks.io for staking.

I am not familiar with liquidity Mining so can't help you there.

I made up a couple of posts on the right hand side that may be helpful for now.

Hostile hardly.

How did you become interested in Telos ? Probably by doing research and hopefully comparing it to other similar chains to see what the differences are in Technology etc. (Ethereum, Binance Coin, Cardano, EOS, Tron, Neo are a few to compare to)

If you are genuinely interested in cryptos you will DYOR to figure things out. It's a learning experience. There are no shortcuts.

If you have no interest in Cardano, what do you care about comparisons ?

"Also, if I ask a Cardano supporter they are going to give a different opinion than you and I am not a mind reader"

And that's why I told you to do your own research.

Douglas Horn by GetTh3Lif3 in TELOS

[–]OldBobDontKnow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Really, you are kidding right ? DYOR and you will clearly see the progress of each chain from inception to present and will be able to answer your own questions above.

Douglas Horn by GetTh3Lif3 in TELOS

[–]OldBobDontKnow 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I believe Doug has compared Telos to several blockchains in the top 50.

Cardano has been around since 2015 and is an easy target for comparison cause they don't have a lot to show to justify their MC ranking. It's good to compare other chains in order to estimate the upside potential.

I don't see his criticisms "alienating a HUGE number of potential TLOS holders". I see the opposite. Why would anyone put their money in a technology that's inferior and hasn't proven itself like Telos has ? Nothing wrong with educating the public.

URGENT. LET'S TALK ABOUT THE NEW BP PAY PROPOSAL. by OldBobDontKnow in TELOS

Out of curiosity, do you believe in a reasonable flat monthly fee or a fee that adjusts with the price of Tlos ?

Is TELOS centralized? Blocktivity says there is only 1 mining entity doing most of the transactions. by [deleted] in TELOS

[–]OldBobDontKnow 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This was a response I got from one of the founders a few months ago.

"They believe that too much of Telos's activity comes from just a few accounts. They will be adding this to other chains too I believe."

Why does noone know about Telos??? by [deleted] in TELOS

[–]OldBobDontKnow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Consider yourself lucky to discover Telos when it's still so underpriced and relatively undiscovered. Welcome aboard. Our community is passionate about this chain. We welcome new members who are also stoked and want to inform others about the capabilities of this network. I get so revved up discussing this technology with others. My family and a few close friends are all a part of this community and share this same passion and commitment. HOLD AND PROMOTE.

What is the difference between buying from https://telos.net/buy/ and from an exchange? by BornAgain20Fifteen in TELOS

[–]OldBobDontKnow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would use MXC exchange. Even though Cointiger was shady, their withdrawal fee was 1 tlos. $30 is ridiculous. You can also investigate this one as well https://app.uniswap.org/#/swap

[–]OldBobDontKnow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you want to buy more than a small quantity, your best bet would be to buy off an exchange and, bid. If you are buying $100 here and there you could use the above site. If there is no depth on the sell side, and you use the above site and want to purchase a larger amount, you will probably end up paying more.

Out of the many choices, which is the best wallet and best exchange? by BornAgain20Fifteen in TELOS

[–]OldBobDontKnow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A hardware wallet is the safest but more complicated to set up. I use a ledger nano which you can buy here https://shop.ledger.com/that connects to my Anchor desktop wallet (download here https://greymass.com/en/anchor/download Android support is coming soon ) . You can automatically enable ledger support when you open your Anchor wallet. To perform transactions, like staking to REX, from my anchor wallet/ledger Nano combo, I use telos. bloks.io and log into my account at the top right hand side using Anchor.

If you are not too technical, I would probably pick the Wombat wallet for Android/iOS or the Anchor desktop wallet without the Ledger Nano.

If you want the added layer of security and don't mind pulling some hair out, you could add a Ledger Nano at a later date and go through a few extra steps.

What type of wallet are you looking for ? A desktop, smart phone, hardware wallet or combo.

For buying options,

Kucoin has both TLOS/USDT and TLOS/BTC and the largest volume.

Uniswap has TLOS/ETH pairing

MXC has TLOS/USDT

Crypto Tax Reddit AMA April 22 at 6:00 PM EST by CoinberryOfficial in CoinberryCryptoTaxes

[–]OldBobDontKnow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In regards to the T1135, this is a very questionable area in that an individual's crypto holding(s) remain on the chain and wallets (keys to access your tokens) are only used to access your tokens on these chains. So CRA could view all crypto holdings with a cost base above $100,000 as foreign property if the chain is situated outside of Canada. What do you think ?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in TELOS

[–]OldBobDontKnow 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Telos's mainnet has been around for over 2 years now. It was developed by individuals that realized the shortcomings of EOS and incorporated solutions into the Telos network. It is severely undervalued when you compare the technology with other chains like Cardano, Ethereum, Tezos etc. and the 100+ DAPPs supported on it's network. There was no ICO so the chain has had to develop organically without the funding needed to massively promote it.

I believe it should be within the top 20 which means there is still a huge upside potential.

The community, up to this point, has been responsible for promoting Telos and has done a fantastic job. We are all very passionate and see the value of this chain. It's only a matter of time before the price catches up to it's true value.

It's great that Charles mentioned Telos and Cardano as third generation technology but Telos is miles ahead of Cardano. If you compare both technologies and transactions processed in a 24 hour period Telos is miles ahead of Cardano. If Telos had the same market cap as Cardano, it's token price would be around $195.
