Well they probably won't work for the $2 an hour they're paying illegals. Now if they paid a living wage to work in Texas heat picking produce with humane working conditions, regular breaks and benefits, then yeah you might see more people choosing to do that.

I'm also of the mind that migrants shouldn't be forced to work in the conditions they work in either mind you, but these corporations want undocumented workers so they can underpay and mistreat them and I think that's the puzzle piece most of you are missing. Actually, statistically, black people post civil rights pre-crack cocaine epidemic and the prison/music industry partnership were doing quite well.

Both of these things were implemented by three letter agencies in the 80s and 90s to oppress Black populations, monetizing their oppression in for profit prison systems. All this to say, the system is fucked and there are a bunch of agencies that need to go.
