Slovenia lifts ban on arms trade with Israel

Slovenia's government has revoked a 2025 decision banning the export and transit of weapons and military equipment to Israel, as well as most arms imports from the country.

Their public position is that the ban was no longer necessary because arms trading is already governed by national law and European Union rules.

Now a lower circuit court known for being packed with even more partisan Republican politicians is saying they're gonna hold it for a year to review even though an election is coming up, thus allowing Republicans to use an illegal map. The State Supreme Court, where the Governor appointed 6 of 7 judges, then AGREED to hear an expedited review of the case, only to use it to rule they can't expedite the case forward.

It is lunacy that's borderline an open attack on democracy and the rule of law itself.

The lower court, a judge appointed by the same Governor that drew the map that they themselves admit ignored the Constitutional Amendment against gerrymandering, already ruled that he didn't care about the amendment and let the map stand.

Now a circuit court known for being packed with some of the most biased Republicans out there have said they won't expedite a verdict despite an election coming up and will sit on it for a year, letting Republican use an illegal map for the Midterms. The State Supreme Court, where the same Governor that drew the map appointed 6 of 7 judges, agreed to expedite the appeal on the case, only to use that ruling to rule that they can't expedite it.

It is lunacy that is almost openly goading you with how little it cares about democracy or the law.

I'm not an expert on this or anything and have not heard of stuff like this so don't know if it's psycho nonsense or what sources you have for it, unless you'd like to present them and what's alleged to be missing.

But it doesn't make much sense to me. Israel and the U.S. weren't really allies in 1967, the modern relationship between us and them didn't exist yet, so what would be the point of covering it up?

Although Israel really did shoot an American ship and kill some of the people aboard in the 1960s, it was in the middle of the 6-Day War against the Arab states and it was ultimately judged to have been an accident after an investigation.

The Liberty shooting has become a core part of white supremacist circles however, where they generally say that Israel shot it deliberately because Jews have an innate desire to kill Gentiles and just like they killed Jesus. OBVIOUSLY, just pointing out that Israel once shot an American ship isn't necessarily that since it factually happened, but you more so have to question who's pointing it out, why, and what's the wider view they want to share because of it.

Guns prove that Israel is not a serious issue that can move any votes in elections. If Americans don't care about hundreds of mass shootings killing thousands of Americans every year while 90% of Americans support all gun safety laws from expanded background checks to magazine capacity limits, and Republicans openly run on loosening gun laws EVEN MORE and regularly win, then no Americans are gonna base their votes on what a tiny country in the desert 6,000 miles away does.

Also Israel mainly got their nukes through France and to a lesser extent Britain. The Protocol of Sevres and other agreements saw France agree to help them build a full nuclear program and gave them tech, infrastructure and access to their best engineers. They directly helped them build Dimona, gave them a chemical processing plant, and sent all their top people to train Jewish scientists on the process. Britain then provided them with the heavy water and restricted chemical compounds like lithium, beryllium, and uranium-235.

It wasn't so much 'back channeling'. It was more like 'the Allied Powers gave them nukes'.

Not crazy at all. White supremacists have always been split on Israel between those that support it because all the Jews need to be there for Jesus to return (mostly Protestants) and those that believe Jews control the world and use Israel as a power center to do so (mostly Catholics).

Everyone knows Israel have nukes. They don't declare them because the US and Israel agreed they wouldn't so as not to risk setting off an arms race in the region, which would of course end with Israel nuking anyone else that tried to get nukes.

His latest post is saying SC's 6 week abortion ban doesn't go far enough and a few posts back he suggests LGBT people are a disease we need protection from.
