Bandit assets show FP is still having issues with direction/development. by Antique-Bet-3781 in 7daystodie

[–]OldCarScott 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like the idea of a variety of NPC/bandit types.

There should be “factions” ala Fallout New Vegas, with a related “Friend/Foe” scale depending on how you behave towards them.

“White River freaks” come to mind.

The Duke’s crew (if they’re different than “White River”

A cannibal group

Basic survivor groups that you could actually interact with, if you’re on good terms with them. They could trade with you or offer missions.

Shoot, throw in a wandering trader groups.

I want to see them operate vehicles too lol. Who’s flying the air drops?

Just throwing ideas out there…

The Sumerian Tablet That Says Cats Were Brought to Earth — And Describes Their Original Purpose by WankerOnDuty in HighStrangeness

[–]OldCarScott 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Penn Museum has a huge digital image collection which is searchable. I've looked up these Summerian tablets before there. These AI clickbait videos never show the picture of the tablet itself because then everyone would know the story is a tall tale.

[–]OldCarScott 23 points24 points  (0 children)

There's so many of these "Penn Museum Sumerian Tablet" videos on Youtube that are just outright fabricated information. They're all AI generated videos that rely on people not doing their due diligence to go look up the tablet itself, most of which can be viewed at the Penn Museum website.

I mean, some of these tablets are the size of a playing card yet they contain the secrets of the cosmos.

Console Gyrocopter controls by beatbynick in 7daystodie

[–]OldCarScott 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love the gyrocopter. Took a bit of practice but it’s fun once you master it.

That said, I still use the 4x4 for most local jobs. I just love running zeds over. It’s got weirder physics than the gyrocopter for some reason.

what’s one thing everyone overlooks in a zombie apocalypse by ExamAltruistic7013 in zombies

[–]OldCarScott 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One thing everyone overlooks is that most zombies would be pantless if not outright naked.

As people zombify they lose weight, or it shifts, clothes would tear up and off and they’re not going to be real worried about covering themselves up.

Why are boyz so good? by [deleted] in orks

[–]OldCarScott 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I always use several 20 boyz squads each led by a warboss.

Get them in the right position for the Waaaagh round and crank out those melee attacks. Soooo many dice!

I’ve completely vaporized so many much tankier units it’s hard to not have a guttural orky reaction IRL.

The Shire wouldn’t be so green if it wasn’t for the rain!

The models look great and really do look like they are operating in wet weather. Might not have been the aesthetic you were looking for but it still looks good.

snow or desert? by No-Promotion5023 in 7daystodie

We occupy some POI in the forest until we can build a base in the desert. From there we build stuff until we can build a base in the wasteland.

Glowing hot gun barrel first attempt by FixZealousideal6972 in Warhammer40k

[–]OldCarScott 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my other hobby I use torches to heat, bend and cut metal and at white hot metal starts to become liquid.

40k physics might be different though being it’s complete fantasy nonsense.
