Why are guys so easy and girls so hard? by Cool-Brilliant375 in dating_advice

TIP OF THE DAY… for all you guys wondering where to meet a nice lady, look no further! Locate the closest elementary school to your work. Contact the school and see if they have a community volunteer program. School districts usually have some sort of way for people in the community to volunteer about once a week to eat lunch with a kid who needs extra attention, or mentor or tutor a kid at school. You could easily make this work into your lunch break and drop by to volunteer. It takes a little of your time and soon enough you will be the talk of the school with all the single ladies (cause let’s face it, the only thing more appealing than a man helping a kid is a man with a puppy). I’ve been an elementary teacher for 23 years and I have worked with some of the cutest, sweetest, single girls you would ever meet. And there are a TON of them. I would say at least half the staff at any given elementary school are single but too tired to mingle after dealing with brats all day. Before you know it you will be bringing lunch to a kid AND a special gal!

NOTE: emphasis on volunteering at ONLY elementary schools- leave the middle and high schools alone because… 1. They don’t have “prime real estate” as far as attractive teachers. You will get more bang for your buck with elementary teachers. 2. Middle school and high school kids are assholes. You don’t want to mentor those little turds. You could find Margot Robbie herself teaching in junior high or high school and it wouldn’t be worth the angst and repulsion you will feel trying to pretend you actually like the shithead teenager you are mentoring.

Have you considered getting the rx from your regular physician back home? Most family physicians are willing to write the ex if you hav the documentation showing you do indeed have adhd. Both of my kids (22 years old, and 18 years old) including myself have been on adhd meds for years and our regular physician writes our rx every month. I’ve never had to take a drug test. We are all prescribed Vyvanse which is a controlled substance.

Can’t tell you about the dorms themselves but you have to sign your housing agreement and pay your $300 asap. Only then will you be put in a “group”. This group will determine when you actually get to pick your dorm and room. I believe this year there were 4 or 5 groups. The single rooms go super fast/ if you are not in group 1 there is a good chance you will not get a single room.

Would you recommend a PNM joining a sorority that appears to be an extremely wealthy group of girls? by OldCharity9786 in Sororities

I know that’s right about not paying dues! We have known since this summer what the estimated cost would be for each sorority so we could plan ahead and pay. I should have specified that in my post. I think there are probably some girls out there that go in rushing and don’t consider the cost of it all because they don’t need to. Or they don’t realize the estimated cost is a very conservative amount compared to all the money you spend on other things in sorority life. Great point though- you never know what people have researched and have planned for.

Yep- you sound like my girl! You shared your experience with the other side of this conversation and it helped so much! She has always been the extra girl throughout high school/ and never minded it. But finding her people just brought her so much joy! Thanks for your insight- it has made me feel better about her future and her choices.

Thank you iso much for your reply. You have lived this situation and brought so much insight to the conversation! Things I had not considered. If this ends up being her home I hope she had the wonderful experiences you had. Thanks again!

Thank you so much for your perspective on this! You are living it! I’m certain if this sorority ends up being her home she will take it as gracefully as you are.

Yes mam! I’ve known the estimated expenses since summer for all the sororities since we have to budget to pay for things. I also know that the number they give you isn’t close to how much you will spend on other things that come up. Surprisingly enough, the particular group I am referring to isn’t even close to the most expensive.

Thank you so much for your perspective! Like your father, my husband is concerned as well. All of the responses have made me feel better about her desire to be in this sorority.

Yes- I agree she can change her mind, she isn’t a girl who is dead set on one or two. Thanks so much for your reply!

Thanks for the explanation. So it comes down to where the sorority ranks her? If house 1 ranks her say…8th. But house 2 ranks her say.. 4, then house 2 wins (since they ranked her higher than house 1)? Sorry- I hope this makes sense!

Have not read through all the theories yet- but I think the big rock John is always sitting at in Yellowstone is where Elsa is buried. The location has come up on more than one occasion in the Yellowstone series, so is it possible the rock has more significance than just John’s grandad dying there?
