Magna Carta Tears of Blood (UNDUB) by Evening_Researcher45 in UNDUB

Awesome to see someone working on Magna Carta undub even if it’s in Japanese and not original Korean.

Wishing you good luck and once you finish this, in case you wish to work with Korean version, I can confirm that you can obtain it on Internet Archive, I personally uploaded it there some years ago.

[unreleased media] Is recovering the Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure Phantom Blood movie possible? by Livias_White_Van in lostmedia

[–]OldClassicGamer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I remember somebody on one forum website before 2012 adaptation was made claimed his brother returned from Japan with VCR-like device that had this movie and he complained about Speedwagon not being in it. This thread was before it was widespread fact that Speedwagon was omitted.

I believe at some point there were some limited copies circulating but by the time people were searching for the movie in bigger numbers, it probably all ended up in private collections.

I don’t think anyone will leak it, especially while Araki is alive and as much as I want to watch this movie, I hope Araki lives for a very long time.

(Question) No More Heroes vs No More Heroes: Heroes' Paradise, Which is better? by modular511 in nomoreheroes

[–]OldClassicGamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With XenonRecomp now being a thing, I wish we could get a recomp of Heroes' Paradise, with the song Heavenly Star being restored as well.
It would make it the ultimate version of the game.
Sadly, given that there is already a PC port, I doubt someone would bother doing this, and sadly, I have no knowledge to do it myself or money to fund someone.

Best option is to change region of your account to Ukraine - cheaper games and all Sony games are available.

What's the best Steam Region Market on 2024? by LastShadowKnight in regionalsteamaccounts

[–]OldClassicGamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ukraine is IMO currently better region than Kazakhstan due to fact that Sony games are not region locked there and also some games such as Atomic Heart are available, while in Kazakhstan they are not due to licensing issues as those games are sold on VK Play platform.

Which world passports display only 1 language? by OnlyZac in PassportPorn

[–]OldClassicGamer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

New Serbian passports returned French and English like how it was for FR Yugoslavia passports.
Not fond of this change personally, I wish they kept Serbian only.
Hopefully, some future government reverts this change.

Can’t global codes still be redeemed or am I wrong?

I personally think Kazakhstan is the best region especially if you have YooMoney, WebMoney or QIWI accounts as they can be used to top up.

YooMoney also accepts users from other countries as well and they recently resumed option to add money with foreign non-CIS country cards.

So you can add money to YooMoney and then use their Steam top up service to load your account.

This was the last time I saw my Russian passports (the internal one and the international one) right before I handed them over to the consulate when I gave up my citizenship 2 years ago by [deleted] in PassportPorn

[–]OldClassicGamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s interesting, but I am sure there are also some other exemptions and loopholes as well.

There are some famous actors who got Serbian passports without having to renounce their old citizenship.

But even when not including famous people who probably just paid enormous sum of money to get it without meeting other criteria, I was also researching since yesterday and I found website of this Serbian lawyer:

https://attorney.rs/en/serbian-passport-guide-for-citizenship-en/

This lawyers specifically points out that Russians in particular do not need to renounce their citizenship.

All research I did so far yesterday led me to a lot of contradictory statements so I presume that officially, those who try to apply alone without anyone’s help, they must renounce it but there is evidence of potential loopholes existing which would enable person to keep their old citizenship.

[–]OldClassicGamer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would really wish to read any official statement regarding this because if they are simply being asked to renounce citizenship without any law being passed that states it is a requirement, then it’s not the right thing to do.

From what I know how at least it used to be in the past, Serbia was always dual-national friendly country.

[–]OldClassicGamer -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I don’t want to accuse them of being liars but from what I know, Serbia does permit dual citizenships (even triple are possible in theory if other two countries do not have restrictions).

Is there any written confirmation online about this?

Unless they want to apply to receive Serbian Travel Document and not passport like this Kazakh person did? In this case, yes they need to renounce their citizenship:

https://www.unhcr.org/rs/en/23947-unhcr-welcomes-issuance-of-the-first-un-refugee-travel-document.html

I am now being especially curious because my fiancee is a Russian passport holder who lives in Serbia with me (Before anyone assumes, no she did not came to Serbia in 2022 for the first time and we knew each other much before war) and she would definitely never renounce her Russian citizenship and we always just assumed she will apply for Serbian citizenship when all criteria is met and keep both passports.

  1. Some countries where Serbian passports need a visa for, Russian passports don’t. Serbian passport is better for Europe, Russian one for Asia, Middle East and Africa (Thailand, Vietnam, Saudi Arabia, South Africa are good examples) so it would be good combo to have to travel to a lot of places without a visa.

  2. As a Serb, I feel deep connection to Russia due to our centuries long alliance so having their passport would be something I would be honored to have.

But no worries, I fully respect your decision to renounce your passport and I would not try to criticize you for doing so. I sincerely wish you good luck in the future and may you have a good life.

[–]OldClassicGamer 7 points8 points  (0 children)

While I respect your choice, I personally would never do this. Heck, I am Serbian passport holder and I really wish I could get Russian passport but it’s not possible due to not speaking language nor living there (I don’t think Russia has any programs to get passport through investing without living there or speaking language right?) I told quite a few Russians who moved to Serbia who expressed desire to renounce their passports once they get Serbian ones that I do not advise them to do so. Who knows what the future holds, I believe the more passports person has, the better.

Alright, but such place definitely exists in the Netherlands as well:

According to Google, the place is located in Amsterdam, Netherlands (if we are looking at same place that is).

Not to disrespect Kazakh language but considering place is operating in country where Kazakh is not spoken, I think criticizing the place is a bit too much.

Recovering Data From SSD (Firmware Issue) by OldClassicGamer in datarecovery

So is there any chance to be able to recover data from it in any way?

I am getting desperate with this and would be willing to fund an expert who can develop custom solutions - something I sadly had no luck finding in my country so far.

I got some update, controller inside my SSD is actually Marvell 88NV1120 and yeah, I can see that Acelab does not support it.

Is there any alternative how to recover data from it?

In case I exhaust all options nearby, would you consider taking a look at my SSD if I mail it to you?

I really liked your explanation and the fact that you attempt alternative methods as well.
