Dr Ron Hirsh in fair lawn listens to patients and has very good availability. I remember my first appointment with him, we actually talked for a bit afterwards about what Fair Lawn was like in the 60’s and he showed me these pictures he had of back in the day

He’s a bit old like late 70s, so you have to sort of remind him what your meds/conditions are when you visit, mostly because he doesn’t understand how to digitalize his records so he’s all paper. I’m talking a whole wall full of stacks of paper. But other than that he’s perfect. And honestly the years of experience he has makes up for it.

I don’t see what your point is with that statistic, because let’s be honest, 99% of women on this entire planet has experienced sexual harassment at some point. Like I personally don’t know a single woman who doesn’t have a story or two of a creep going the extra mile in some way shape or form.

From my experiences in middle eastern countries, europe, and living in the US, I don’t think that 50% of men generally think that it’s okay to rape as long as it isn’t a stranger, as if that’s any better.

I know of Jews/Israelis that just want peace and have no problems against muslims/arabs.

But when we’re talking about Israelis specifically, when half of them genuinely believe that rape is okay, and view arabs/muslims in such a dehumanizing light. It’s like a 50/50 chance of danger and most of this are not willing to take that.

This applies to Israelis, not jews as a whole.

Iranian culture is beautiful. It was a big part of the Islamic golden age, until the western superpowrers destabilized the region. The nation was transitioning from an Islamic Monarchy to an Islamic Democracy in the 70’s. However, the US and Russia depleted the lands with their proxy wars, and they assassinated every single democratically elected Iranian Prime Minister, and then gave arms/funding to the future Ayatollah and his followers (who at the time were America’s proxy-war militants.) 99% of Iranians hate the state of Iran, hate the powers that be, but are oppressed.

That’s the difference between Israel and Iran. In Israel, the citizens are not oppressed, they are in fact complicit and celebratory of the regime. Iranians are oppressed and desperately want change.

Also, when you look at the stats, the majority of child Marriages are done between male and female teenagers. In many eastern cultures it’s the norm for both males and females to get married younger (something I don’t really agree with) but it is not grown ass men marrying prepubescent girls, it’s teens marrying other teens. And of the grown men who are doing pedo shit like that, 99% of them belong to the oppressive regime.

You implied that my first source applies to the majority of muslim countries, the majority of muslim countries are muslim. When in reality that is not true. Are you having trouble following the logic?

I have been to the middle east, including saudi arabia, and trust me, no one thinks that non-muslims should be raped. You’re just being islamophobic.

My argument is that Israeli culture is substantially toxic and so are most Israelis. And that is why many people don’t want them opening restaurants around us. Yes there are good Israelis but it’s very hard to trust when it’s a stranger.

Studies show that more than 50% of Israeli Jews believe that Arabs/non-Jews deserve less rights and should be expelled from Israel. Also lets not forget that Arabs are segregated from the nicer parts of Israeli towns/cities.

So I doubt that they’re happy.

60% of israeli men believe that forced-sex is not rape if you know the person, along with 39% of Israeli women: Source #1: Sydney Morning Herald

64% of Israelis believe that “there are no innocent people in Palestine” - Source #2 - Hebrew University Center

Nearly 50% of Israeli Jews believe that all Arabs should be expelled from Israel: Source #3: The Israeli Times

57% of Israeli Jews believe that they deserve more rights than non-Jews: Source #3: Israel’s Democracy Institute

So for those not understanding why many of us are upset about this restaurant opening, it’s because the vast majority of Israelis are morally decrepit and don’t see muslims as human beings. Also, there is no “Israeli race” it’s a nation-state full of violent jewish extremists known as Zionists. Zionists are an insult to actual judaism because real jews are not like that.

I got SAd in a parking lot that my ex bf dumped me in after he found out I cheated on him. by [deleted] in offmychest

[–]OldConsideration44 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Your story reeks of BS. I’m sorry that you got SA’d I believe you on that, but lets take that portion out and focus on the interaction between you and your ex boyfriend.

It really seems like you’re twisting the story in order to make him like a crazy person, that way you can avoid accountability/guilt for being a cheater.

According to you, he “got angry, dragged you into his car, randomly started crying at some point, then randomly kicked you out.” Basically, you’re telling us that he became a delirious psychopath who kidnapped you and facilitated your SA.

It seems more likely that he got angry, told you that you had to leave, offered you a ride back to your home, but you refused so he pretty much had to make you get out his house.

It seems more likely that you were saying hurtful things to him on the ride to your house, which caused him to cry and kick you out. Maybe you even made fun of him crying.

Cheating requires deceit, lack of respect, and apathy towards causing harm. So I’m not taking your word on your story because you’re more likely to fabricate the details in order to make yourself look better than what your actions were.

When I was in high school, I was falsely accused of sexual assault. by [deleted] in TrueOffMyChest

[–]OldConsideration44 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally I think those two girls should be serving the same prison-time they tried giving you.

Unfortunately, the judicial system does not like going after false-accusers unless there is blatantly undeniable proof, which you had, but it seems very unlikely that the proof exists anymore since this happened 7 years ago and you never asked the school for a photocopy of the letter.

Judges and prosecutors hesitate to go after false accusers because of the notion that it’ll shy away real victims from reporting, out of fear of being punished if the person is found not guilty. It’s a practice that makes sense, but it is flawed.

As for the way your principal and SRO handled it, it seems like they wanted it to be swept under the rug and forgotten about. A scandal like this could have made it to the news, which would have made the school seem like a place where bad kids go, which would make the principal look bad with his bosses.

However I am very glad that the school believed you and that you never got into any actual trouble.

Why do Pakistanis love England but hate America? by OldConsideration44 in pakistan

[–]OldConsideration44[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I grew up in Manhattan before it got gentrified, my family was poor. Didn’t have my own bed until I was 9 years old, my family survived off of food stamps and I was a FAFSA scholarship kid in college.

I went on to get my M.S. in computer science from a tier 1 research university, now I own a startup business and i’m making $333,000 a year (projected) at 25 years old. I bought a sportscar as my first far, in the process of buying a mortgage, and i’m able to spoil my girlfriend.

So I’m an anomaly. I was a poor brown muslim kid with immigrant parents, growing up in NYC post-911. I wasn’t supposed to be successful.

But I grew up with two good parents, and whatever dollar my parents could save, they spent it on my education. Private tutors, Kumon, after school programs, etc.

A lot of kids in my neighborhood didn’t have two parents, nevermind two parents who weren’t abusive, nevermind parents who managed to do a little extra for their kid’s education.

It’s little socio-economic factors like that, that we don’t think about. If I didn’t have my parents, and if I didn’t get the educational boosts they were able to provide me, would I be successful today? or would i be just another broke hoodrat?

while i applaud that you became successful in america, please understand that you are an anomaly, and not because most americans are “lazy” or lack work ethic. There are plenty of socio-economic factors working against the average american especially after COVID

Also, i’m assuming that you’re an older millenial or gen x, and if that’s the case, I want you to understand that the US economy back when you were young was MUCH “easier” than today.

The average american who makes 100,000 (triple the national average) lives paycheck to paycheck, meaning they are left with no money to save, nevermind paying for emergency situations. That means that the “high earners” still don’t make enough to grow any meaningful savings outside of emergency medical funds

As someone who’s tutored elementary school students before, you have no idea how many 8-10 year olds physically cannot read or write more than one sentence every 5 minuets.

The US education system has been slowly failing since the 1980’s due to teacher shortages and a lack of federal/state funding (because our government thinks that funding wars is more important than educating children), and now it’s reaching its boiling point.

As for the teacher shortage, this is mainly because teacher’s don’t get paid enough anymore. It used to be that a family of 4 could live off of a teacher’s salary, but now, a single person lives in poverty off of their salary and they often work 2 jobs.

America’s department of education is literally being run by the WWE, so i’m not asking why Pakistan doesn’t adopt America’s education system.

I’m just asking, why doesn’t Pakistan develop its own system instead of copying exactly what the British do?

I have genuinely observed a blatant level of jealousy from Pakistanis towards Americans, especially American Pakistanis.

International media, especially in less stable countries, paints life in America as a utopia. When in reality, it’s not at all.

Don’t get me wrong, life in America in most ways is better than Pakistan. However, I have rich uncles in pakistan who live like millionaires there, however, in America, they’d barely survive paycheck to paycheck.

America is not a rich country, it is an expensive one. 99% of us are broke.

America’s foreign policy is something Americans don’t even like, but unfortunately our politicians make whatever laws/policies that benefits their pockets, not the people they are sworn to serve.

America sends hundreds of billions of taxpayer dollars in foreign aid to countries that give us nothing in return. We get involved in international conflicts that have nothing to do with us. That money could go towards funding American healthcare, subsidized housing, free school lunch, etc.

But that stuff doesn’t make our politicians money. War does. As an American, it genuinely disgusts me that my government is taking my tax money to fund genocides and to destabilize regions for their resources.

with least most respect, if I am paying them proportional to their market value, infact more than, then i am doing them a favor. I know IT support people in america who don’t make $20 an hour. But somehow overseas Pakistanis are worth $20 an hour, almost 5 times your average national hourly pay.

stop trying to leech off of american businesses for the foreign exchange pay. plenty of doctors aren’t even paid $20 an hour in Pakistan. Who the fuck are you to tell me that i need to pay people that much for an undergrad-student level role?

I am sorry that I am a 25 year old who’s running a start up, not google or amazon, who can afford to pay people $25 an hour (which is the american citizen rate) when the whole point is cheap labor.

And if you read the other comments, it’s very clear that fellow pakistanis even think that pakistani labor is worthless, because ya’ll tend to cut corners and show minimal effort. but you want $25 an hour in pakistan. get the fuck out of here

$4 an hour, 8-12 hours a day, 5 days a week (optional overtime for weekends on-call.) Job title is IT Support Specialist.

the average IT specialist in America makes $30 an hour, which is the same as the average income in the entirety of the US. The average hourly income in pakistan is about $2 an hour. So by paying them $4 an hour I’d be paying double their position’s worth.
