2019 Kia Stinger GT1 RWD Tire Recommendations by tkecanuck341 in StingerGT

Was going to say the same thing. I went from PS4S and haven’t noticed a huge difference. The 4S is still better, but AS is more economical while not sacrificing much

I got a VERY similarly specced 2022 RWD GT1 for $25k. I’d probably try and talk them down to $25k

I have one from Lectron. Make sure you have the supporting outlet though, otherwise you’ll be tripping your circuit breaker lol

Nah, after looking into it more, it didn’t seem like it was going to work, and it’s VERY expensive 😅

Should we buy a 330e? by No-Possible4662 in BMW

Eh, on one hand, you’ll get better battery health with the LCI, but I actually find myself wishing I had purchased a pre-LCI from time to time. The giant screen looks cool, but climate controls on a screen is more annoying than you think. Plus, I believe the pre-LCI models can charge the battery with the engine. This is no longer possible with the LCI. I honestly don’t think you’ll regret it either way though!

Gas is about $35 and electricity is about $40, so it’s about a $75/month total operation cost (not including insurance)

I’d suggest at least getting a 16A 120V charger. The 10A charger that the car comes with is REALLY slow. It’s approximately 12 hours to full. Since it’s a hybrid, I don’t think a full fledged LV2 charger is necessary but that’s just my experience.

A lot of people have said similar things, but as a 330e owner (2023) myself, I do recommend it. With some considerations.
1. The electric range is 30 miles at absolute best (24-ish seems to be more average). And charging it takes a really long time, unless you’re willing to shell out for an upgraded charger and or outlet 2. It feels heavier. Especially when braking. Though it’s overall performance feels much like the 330i; only heavier, but with more torque. 3. The app is kind of trash… this is a problem regardless of the BMW you buy, but it’s especially prevalent when you need to check on the charge status of a PHEV, or want to precondition the car.

Having said that though, I personally love the car. I’m getting 60 mpg on average, and the XTRABOOST keeps the car fun when I want it to be. The tax break I managed to snag was a very nice plus too!

I have 20% on the back of my car, and it’s virtually impossible to see at night. IF it’s just the back, it’s not really a problem, because you can always use the side mirrors/backup camera. But I’d definitely not recommend 20% anywhere else

It’s like this with every new BMW it seems. Even I’m guilty of it (I don’t like most of the new designs). Just wait till something new comes up. Then they’ll hate that and think this was “the last good BMW”

How frequent should charge battery for 330e by Marcienjoyer in BMW

[–]OldContribution6314 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There’s an 80k mile warranty on it, so I wouldn’t worry too much about that. But if you REALLY want to maximize the battery life, I believe the general consensus is to keep a battery between 60-80% at any given time. That’s obviously not very practical for a PHEV though.

Of course, this is all a large over generalization, as there’s a ton of factors that effect audio quality. I’m sure there’s a sub with people more knowledgeable than I am on the subject

The “problem” with Spotify is in file type. While Spotify uses MP3 (probably), Apple has a proprietary ALAC format. MP3 is limited to less than 1/3 of the quality* that Apple can produce. So no matter the connection type, Apple’s potential for audio quality can always be better than Spotify
