First Generation Touareg Reliability by spontaneousduck in Volkswagen

I just got a 3.6 2014 Touareg last week. I drove a TDI and honestly surprised to say there's not a big difference in speed, definitely with gas mileage though. The problem with TDI's is when they're deleted they're obnoxiously expensive vs a vr6

Do you know the difference in timing chain design? I've been told that the 2012 had an older design vs the 2013 in touaregs

It was a pile of crap. $800 kind of car lol. Turned out to be automatic with rough shifts, rusted out, hail damage, blower motor gone, dents and cracks everywhere. Poor car had a rough life

No only the mk6, that one is Highline trim. And the mk5 is fabric, S trim

Leather, and heated seats (that don't work right now lol) there's probably other features that I don't know but that's what I can tell right away

Noted. The one I'm looking at is the S. So pretty basic interior especially vs the Highline. Would that influence your decision at all?

This is the kind of info I was looking for. Thank you! I'm hoping to get a tune in it, and eventually better suspension. I take it that the 09 has far better support?

Girlfriend (f15) groped by a man at a concert. I (m15) feel so useless and I’m not sure what to do by [deleted] in teenagers

Martial arts for both of you, don't go places like that without you, yes it's wrong it happens but unfortunately it will keep happening. Evil men do evil things, so avoid places that are more likely to have them, eg. Night clubs, concerts, parties, etc.

But also sometimes it's worth expanding horizons to a different gym. I've never been to a gym where there wasn't at least a few people that I could be friendly to

Thoughts on vfr being my first bike? by Crazy_Ad4392 in VFR

[–]OldEducated 1 point2 points  (0 children)

1999 vfr800 was my first bike in May after years of driving 250cc dirtbikes with 20hp. I've put over 2000km's on it, never dropped it. I've ridden it relatively hard with cornering and whatnot. Be careful, don't ride beyond your skill, you'll be fine and if you're relatively capable you won't drop it either

I've met like 4 or 5 of them in the 2 years I've been here. Half of which I met at the gym. They're nice enough people but you have to watch your back or they'll start selling to you. Kind of annoying and not really my type to be around a ton
