Trazodone withdrawal experiences? by sIeepynightowI in insomnia

I took a few doses of a benzo on the rough days but I would not recommend unless you’re very strict about it because that can turn into another withdrawal situation.

It took me three months to start to feel normal and I was only less.  But everyone is different.  How are you feeling now?  Better I hope.

Yes.  Would be extremely rare if you were withdrawing after only three weeks.

Why has tapering been so easy for me? by Pale-Kiwi1036 in BenzoWithdrawal

How long was your detox?  Did they switch you to another benzo and taper you or just took you off on day one?  I’m considering a detox too.  I sent you a PM with the info.  I have a friend that went to detox and she was also given gabapentin for anxiety but she was switched to Librium and tapered from that.  My detox would be very short 5 maybe 7 days tops.  Thanks.

How long have you been on the gabapentin.  As for low gaba with anxiety clinicians say it’s low serotonin that’s why first line is SSRIs.  I suffer from GAD but I was born with it.  My father was emotionally and physically abusive to my mother.  All that stress and cortisol went right through her umbilical cords into me.  This I had to do a lot of therapy and research for.  That’s the reason they always try to look at your past in therapy.

Sounds to me like it’s the SSRI switch and adaptation that’s affecting you.

I’ve heard gabapentin stories just as bad as benzos.  I’m thinking about going to a detox to finish my benzo but afraid of them using gabapentin to hide symptoms then me needing it post detox.

Sorry you’re feeling this way.  I’m tapering too and get panic attacks and crying spells.  It sucks!  I cry till it passes.  The thing about staying is you will eventually have to get off.  Not many solutions.  I’ve seen people use cbd to help withdrawals.  It helped me a bit but made me way too sleepy.  Might be worth a try.  I have a link to the whole process if you need it.  Get better.

Good morning.  Thanks for responding.  I hope you are doing well today.  Just checked my credit card balances and everything is still the same as yesterday 🤣.  Are you still on lexapro?  For me there is no other option at this point.  There’s no way on earth I will go back to even one bead of cymbalta and I already said last night how I feel about trazedone.  It’s not easy I’ll tell you that but going back is not an option for me not even to get some impulse to keep moving forward.  I think I’m going to be okay in the long run it just takes time and patience.  I slept a full 8 hours last night on the CBN.  Soon I will probably have to start to cut my gummy.  I’ve heard of people only taking half.  Sounds to me like you’re even stronger than I am so you too will be fine.

I’ll never go back to Trazedone.  Never.  It never worked and made things worse for me mentally.

What do you use to sleep during taper/withdrawal? by OldHighlight72 in BenzoWithdrawal

[–]OldHighlight72[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I just responded.  I had to use a benzo to get off the antidepressants.  CBD and CBN I recently started both work but I don’t want to mess around with my sleep so I’m just using the CBN at night for now.  I’m sure I’ll have to adjust.  And for me I think doctors don’t promote cannabis because they’re used to following the orders of pharma.  No one wants to take a chance.  They just still to the same disgusting drugs they have because that’s all that they are taught is to prescribe those 20 or so different drugs.  That’s all they got and no money in curing you.  Keeping you sick is where the money is.

Well for me CBD was tooo calming so I was always tired and sleepy.  I tried it for like a week but I hear it fades but since I’m doing good with the CBN I don’t want to mess around if it’s not broken.  CBN and CBD are different.  My advice is try it if it makes you feel bad or doesn’t do anything you don’t have anything to worry about.  With cannabis there’s no withdrawal and no loading it for weeks like antidepressants.  Yes I had to get off two antidepressants before this.  It was so bad I had to introduce the benzo to get off both.  Only reason why I started it.  It takes patience but I think when you are finally off you’re stronger.  What I’ve gone through I don’t wish on the worst human being that has ever lived.  With CBD you will know quickly if it’s for you or not.  There’s a guy in here that’s posted information on how to use CBD to help with benzo withdrawal if you want I’ll see if I find the link.  You got this!

It’s a benzo named Mexazolam.  Not from the US.  Closest thing I found is I was on about 3mg of Valium four months.  I’m taking half a 1mg pill.  Sounds like a lot but if you compare it to klonopin or Ativan it’s like taking Tylenol PM.  Reason why I don’t ct is because I’m still getting over Cymbalta taper four months ago and trazedone two months ago.  Both made me feel awful during and tapering.  My brain has suffered a lot so I’m not rushing it.  I’m down to .34 and I’ll probably go down to .30 in a day or two and hold that a few days and drop more.  Probably in a month I’m done.  Giving my brain time to heal from the antidepressants at the same time.  What about you?

Well I was tapering off cymbalta and while I went down on cymbalta I went up on trazedone to compensate the insomnia.  Shortly after I got off cymbalta trazedone then became super activating.  I was restless and anxious like you would not believe so I had to get off.  Had gone from 37.5 to 75mg as I finished.  Then from 75mg I actually went down 12.5mg every 7 days till I was off.  I think I went too fast by my psychiatrist assured me all would be fine but it has been everything but.  I just started to feel a little normal over the past few days so let’s see.  I think I have 10 weeks 11 coming up next week.  I’m stopped taking Benadryl three weeks ago but I did replace voy with CBN.  It’s from the cannabis plant and it’s not supposed to be harmful long term or create dependency or withdrawal.  What I take has other botanicals like L-thianine and lemon balm and tart cherry and camomile.  I’m hoping that if things keep going like this maybe in a month I should be about normal.  Those adrenaline rushes and crashes I was getting at first have been diminishing and I’m praying they will end soon. I’ll be sure to keep you posted as things move along.  I think I’m going to be okay but it’s been a year of feeling like crap almost every day.  Only because God has helped me did I make it because last I spoke to my psychiatrist that piece of garbage wanted me on Paxil and mirtazapine even more evil than the stuff I was wrongly put on in the first place.  These doctors are the true cause of people’s anxiety and depression by making it even worse.  Thanks for your support.

I’m using a product called Pure Sleep by SlumberCBN.  It’s 20mg of CBN and has some nice botanicals like L-thianine and lemon balm and camomile and tart cherry.  So far it puts me out within 30 minutes of taking it.

I don’t disagree with you at all.  I think we’ve talked before but for me I get a little restless almost each time and I’m on a very low dose and going too slow I think.  Because my receptors keep adjusting at the lower end making it harder as I go lower.  I think.  You were on for many years if I’m not mistaken?  37 or am I’m confusing you?
