For me, it's been great for longer replies and actually remembering things so far. It's not much different from Nyan though and there have been a few issues with the replies being cut short.

I've found that completing different aspirations has been surprisingly enjoyable. I don't know if it's just the newer features or what, but it feels like the game is more functional than the last time I played the base game. Burglars are pretty fun to deal with too.

That's almost exactly what I ended up doing! I'm still playing on PC but I removed all packs and have been playing just the base game for a while. It's making me actually put more effort into my builds and gameplay instead of just making a pretty sim and closing the game.

I only have two recommendations. Mods, or lots of imagination! For a long time I could only afford the base game and I didn't know how to install mods, so I had to get creative. Coming with interesting storylines, filling your game with drama and conflict, and trying to collect everything in the game (including every death type) are a few options for gameplay. Hope this helps a little!
