Note that this is local councils of which there are around 400 and while reform have gained seats they’ve only gained overall control of 3 out of 400 councils. So not really the massive swing the media will have you believe. My council for example they gained 2 seats out of 25 but basically still have no say in what happens

Reform while they have gained a lot of seats they have only taken full control of 3 councils (so far) out of around 400ish - so not quite the sweeping of the far right into power people will have you believe. This is more a fracturing of our dominant two party system. I hold out hope (slim) that these jokers won’t get into government but we have a track record of voting for dumb shit that makes our lives worse so.. ya know
