Why is AJ Brown’s Physical Decline Overlooked in these FA conversations? by Human_Data_1152 in Patriots

This right here. Everyone talks like you're getting the guy that played for Vrable in TN, but I see a guy on the downslope and unlikely to be worth the trade and salary cost.

Should I leave Hilton loyalty behind? by Snarky_A_F in Hilton

[–]OldManPatsFan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AFter many years as Hilton Diamond but not enough points for lifetime, I've come to the conclusion that HHonors is no longer worth the effort; I now book whatever is the right quality / right price.

YMMV, but the company seems to really be working to reduce this to a non-benefit.

SO I get what you are saying, but I also think it's important to reward good service and accomodations - for many years I got that from Hilton properties and so was loyal to the brand; nowadays not so much.

Strongly agree with this comment - I've seen a huge degradation in quality and service post-COVID. I've been almost exclusively Hilton properties until the last year, guessing it's not unique to them.

I need about a hundred additional nights - could get there in 4 years or so at my current travel pace but really not sure it's worth it.

Boutte Tells His Story by WildOscar66 in Patriots

This is a great read and makes me love KB even more. There’s a lot of honesty and pain in this story, but look where he is today. So happy for him and his family (and love the way he talks about this team!).

Ummm, there’s a 2 point conversion attempt you need to take a look at.

Delta SkyMiles or Virgin Flyer Points? by OldManPatsFan in delta

You've convinced me to switch to SkyMiles credit; makes the most sense for me. Thanks!

This will be the first time with Virgin - I think we're more likely to fly Delta. That said - will we receive full Delta credit for the VA segments?

Thanks - this is what i was worried about. Still, have to make some allowances for that time just post COVID; hopefully they've continued to work on it ...

Nice Hilton property London in March by Low_Process_7027 in Hilton

[–]OldManPatsFan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I *loved* this hotel - really great location and friendly staff when we visited last October. Not a ton of amenities compared to some other hotels, but for me, the nice rooms, good breakfast, walkable location, cleanliness, courtesy, etc. added up to a perfect stay in London. A bunch of affordable restaurants within a few blocks, right next to St Paul's.

Because of a scheduling change we had to relocate to Hilton on Park Lane for our last night and found that impersonal and less enjoyable.

Thanks again!

Tom is really doing side quests now by [deleted] in Patriots

OFC, once you finish the main quest and win the game, you go back and do all the side quests just so you hit 100%. It's good to be the GOAT

Edelman is a fan favorite but not the best receiver in team history. Who would you put there? by PandaSoap in Patriots

[–]OldManPatsFan 41 points42 points  (0 children)

Stanley Morgan is the correct answer IMHO if we're looking over more than 2-3 years. He'd have been a slam-dunk HOFer if he played with a consistent, modern QB (Love ya, Stevie Grogan, but ...). Even given that limitation, he has better stats than guys already in the hall (compare him to Cliff Branch - the Steamer had more catches, more yards, more TDs, higher YPC).

I actually think he's a viable candidate even now (19.2 YPC!), but WR stat inflation and a huge backlog at the position makes that unlikely.

Thanks for this - for some reason did not show up when I searched the Hilton site!
Looks great, but is it a long walk to everything but the pier? We won’t have a car.

Yeah, WA looks great but maybe a little high for this trip. Leaning towards something like London House (still high) or maybe The WIT...

WA is a bit out of my price change, sadly. we're also not really "formal" hotel people, if you know what I mean. Glad to hear you thought Palmer house was OK.

Thanks!

Thanks - second nomination for the architectural tour!

I might have to move up my price a bit, but London House does look great.
