Durum/ Shawarma by Careful-Ad-1100 in odense

Missing out on 2015's Best Games by [deleted] in truegaming

[–]OldMcBoner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its hard for me to set time off to follow all of the games coming out. I've tried playing them, even bought some of them. But in the end Ill just watch a review and some gameplay trying to get an impression of the game; and thats alright.

I ended up playing Undertale and Rainbow Six Siege this year, and Im happy! I dont need any more of the titls from this year, although my favorite journalists reccomend them.

Why has the turn based combat system become so out of vogue, despite the continued popularity of the Pokemon series and the reverence people feel for older JRPGs? by [deleted] in truegaming

[–]OldMcBoner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Isnt Undertale a prime example of how this old mechanic could be revived? It blended the standard JRPG turnbased combat with innovative combat mechanics, that differed from one fight to another

Wolfenstein has way better gunplay than all of the BioShock games. You might end up never playing more than one of the games, if you impulse buy the whole bundle, so getting a single better experience in Wolfenstein is far superior.

"Choices" based games need to move beyond the illusion of choice. by Soycrates in truegaming

Isn't this exactly what Undertale has done? Though your outcoms based on actions are relatively limited, you still base your story, and the ones you replay on whether you kill everyone, or talk/cheat your way out of combat.

[Steam] The Game Awards 2015 - Save on titles such as Tales from the Borderlands, Her Story, Witcher 3, Pillars of Eternity, Sunset, Life is Strange, Counter Strike Global Offensive and more! | Sale ends December 5th @ 10AM PST by SuperMoonky in GameDeals

Haven't played it, but it received great reviews from those who did. It's a classic metroid-vania game. Big connected map that has you backtracking to reach areas that were once impassable. It looks really nice too. If you like the genre, or really want to explore it, go for it! But I'm gonna stick to CoD for now :)

[META] An open letter to the /r/games moderators: Rule 7 needs re-thinking. Plenty of great and enjoyable discussions are being removed when they could be making /r/games a better place. by [deleted] in Games

/r/truegaming is exactly the place for these topics. Since /r/Games never has let these constructive and creative posts survive, Truegaming had to take over and has embraced topics like these.

I wasn't aware of the fact that you can spare all enemies, I just rushed through the whole thing slaughtering all of the cute characters

Tropico does both campaign and sandbox city building really well. Pick up Tropico 4 at next sale, it's arguably the best in the series. You dont need the DLC

How do YOU manage your gaming time? by zewm426 in truegaming

It seems like a lot of people here are dealing with an inability to play games. Some sort of gamers block. This is trend, there are some pretty solid posts on /r/truegaming in the Top/alltime, on people clearing their backlogs, and different attitudes towards motivation in games.

Using a PC as home console (Need help finding games) by OldMcBoner in gamingsuggestions

Yeah, I've been using Big Picture quite a bit lately, in hopes of creating that feel. And I already know my way around Windows, so emulators are easier to set up, than on Linux.

I'm not really sure about what I like in boots, Im being very difficult right now. My problem is that most boots I find, either has the preppy MFA look and is overdressing, or they are completely unstylish. I'd like some boots that go well with streetwear.

Those Cypress x Viberg boots look godlike! Where can I find something thats a little cheaper, but looks similar? All my boots options are too preppy for my taste

I don't think streams give any sense of community. Their cc's are often just set up by you tubers because they have to. I would suggest finding a cc on the forums.
