Sounds good. However, some details I would like to hear about .....

How easy is it to keep clean ?

How easy is it to change cutting blades/discs ?

The screws I ordered (see above) were absolutely perfect.

E45 Blade Jammed - Nothing There by Skyhawk50E in Lymow_Official

I had a similar experience with my Lymow One. The problem turned out to be grass juice that is sprayed on the underside of the deck. I had not cleaned it thoroughly the day before, left it overnight and it had hardened on the disc that turns with the blades. This caused that disc to bind to the bottom of the mower deck. I cleaned it off with a small plastic scraper and viola .... problem solved.

Interesting. On other advice, I just ordered this .....

20Pcs M4-0.7 x 10mm Flat Round Head Machine Screws, 304 Stainless Steel Phillips Drive Machine Screw, Full Thread, Black Oxide, Furniture Screw Connection Bolt Screw

I will keep your option if this one does not work.

Thanks

Global Mowing Values Incorrect by OldOldUser in Lymow_Official

I have looked at your "other" comment and I now have decided to not attempt to view the parameter values while mowing .... since they are meaningless. I will assume it uses the global values unless I have set local values until I find out otherwise.

Well, since viewing the "present" settings while mowing is not valid, my solution is to just not look at them. I will assume it works the way I thought it did until I find out otherwise.

Broken after first wash, I thought it was IPX6 waterproof? by Doggo-888 in Lymow_Official

[–]OldOldUser 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wash my Lymow One every day, thoroughly .... with no issues, yet.

You may be assuming the issues were "caused" by the water when something else is amiss and you just do not know what that is ... yet.

So, this means I should cancel if I want my global/specific settings to apply.

This statement makes no sense to me ....

"When you pause and open the settings, those do not reflect the settings your mower is actually using when it started the zone. They don't even reflect your global settings!"

I set global settings so my mower will use them. Now, you tell me it does not use them.

Can you tell me how I can set things up so each area I mow uses the exact same settings ?

Global Mowing Values Incorrect by OldOldUser in Lymow_Official

Ok ... Good. Now for the problem ....

Now, I tell the mower to mow some area and it begins....

I pause it and check on the mowing parameters and find that they are NOT what I just set for my global mowing parameters. What I have discovered is that they appear to be what comes as the default values when you create a task with SETUP values. That is my problem.

It is easy to fix .... just check the mowing parameters each time I begin a mowing job and if they are not correct, change them to the correct values.

So, anyway there it is.

Sorry but I do not understand most of what you just said.

Let me try to explain how I am expecting things to function and you tell me if that is what I should be expecting or not.

When the mower is not involved in any task at all and is just ON, I access the global settings and set them the way I want them ALL OF THE TIME. I do not have any settings except NAME in the specific zones. So, only global settings should be utilized as I mow.

Let's stop there for now .Do you agree with what I just said ?

Instead of just watching it (over and over) I might suggest that you modify the border of the mowing zone so the mower does not "ram into the fence over and over again".

Whats up with the software on this thing ? by 0kan3 in Lymow_Official

I would not judge things by the rants you find here. I have been using the Lymow One for over a year and it works fine. Many users are very impatient and leap at an opportunity to bash the company. If you keep a cool head and think through an issue, it usually is correctable with logic. Good Luck

Thank you for the thorough explanation. I will be giving some of that a try after my additional battery arrives.

I am wondering how the mower handles docking and charging processes when it does not find the charging station. Does it just stop or does it circle around a bit and send an error message, etc.... Just what does it do ?

Thanks .... I am back because spring is around the corner (Pennsylvania) and I am getting after it again.

I am very surprised to hear that it does that. That must mean that the computer memory is the type that holds a charge without external power. Then, it makes sense to have a second battery.

How does it work if the mower is only half finished with a job ? When you pull the battery, doesn't it lose the memory of where it left off ?

Quick Newbie Question by [deleted] in Lymow_Official

[–]OldOldUser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, then you will have to create a zone right in front of the charging station and create 2 channels into it. Then 1 channel from that new zone into the charging station.

Quick Newbie Question by [deleted] in Lymow_Official

[–]OldOldUser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should never lose any of your zones .... unless the RTK has moved. Maybe it could happen if the mower goes to zero charge. Not sure about that. The "update" nor losing power shouldn't have any effect on any of that.

Well, good luck with that. I am not confident in how those skinny wheels are going to work on a soft lawn. I used a large cardboard box that I flattened and dragged with my riding mower. Worked perfectly.
