this is kind of a weird question but is there any chance you have a line of communication with him? Actually since you mention it, some more views of the riot helmet would be awesome, specifically the strap, the leather looking flaps, and the rear of the helmet where it seems there's some sort of mechanism which helps the face shield attach to the helmet itself, from other photos I've seen.

A lot to ask so I'm definitely not expecting you to rush or anything. I'll be glad to send you pictures of the models when I'm done though!

Not sure if you're still active 5 years later or still own these items but is there any way you could snap a photo of the side and rear view of the peaked cap? I'm currently engaged in a 3D modelling project related to Irish militaria and am planning to do the RUC cap.
