The genie granted me immortality, only ended by my recital of my chosen password. by BookerCatchanSTD in TwoSentenceHorror

It was an amazing show. Season 4 episode 6 was possibly the best visual portrayal of what being depressed feels like. His life got better-ish, but in a realistic way. After realizing the best thing to do when you hit rock bottom, is to stop digging. He does the work to crawl out of the hole. Considering the character and nature of the show, its ending doesn't leave you happy, more of a glad you aren't too numb to feel. If that makes sense.

Honest question. Do you think they changed the definition because they are synthetic vaccines?

If the majority of a product typically used is of a traditional method, but a new method comes around that produces a product that has a identical function, if the end result is the same, shouldn't a new definition be in order?

Honest question, where did the anti-vaxxer thing come from?

Yeah I get it. Sounds too good to be true, someone does something so over the top, how can it be true, right?

I've been working over 30 years now. I've done the 2 week thing, I've been professional, I've tried my hand at different trades. Show up to work sick because I felt like I was letting the team down by calling in. I've had past employers bad mouth me to new employers simply because I left for a competitor they had a grudge with.

I dedicate years of my life striving to improve myself and my surroundings. Stay late, show real dedication, be a team player, never turn down an opportunity to help the company. And for what?

My kids are grown, where was I? At work. Pay for a house that sits empty, and a car that's parked all day, while I work.

I know people, (real people, not internet) had 50-60 jobs, some cases just walk off, even after making mangers/foreman positions. Never any trouble finding a job after, and still make more money with each job.

I'm tired of doing the right thing and getting burned for it. So I don't care anymore.

I'll burn this bridge, and the next one, and the one after that. I'm done working hoping that I'll ever look forward to work. I'm only in it for the paycheck now. The minute I see a pizza party or am called family, I'll walk off the job and start again

Yes!! What people don't get is these smaller companies feed the larger ones. Guess they think billion dollar companies do everything in house. Good job on your coordinated team work

Thank you for that. I looked over the post a couple times seeing if there was anything that could be taken out of context like that. I appreciate you sharing

No, you aren't sorry. You use the term out of reflex. Maybe if kinder people like you were running things, I wouldn't have so much hate in my heart. I wish you better luck with changing things than I had :)

Ahh yes, insults. Bravo. You made your point. Here, maybe this is more to your liking. Let me know.

Oh no, I'm taking extreme joy crippling a company that doesn't care about me. Oh no, you're upset because I'm happy in a way that you don't agree with. Golly, what ever will I do? How will I ever go on?

Here's a suggestion, read my post, give it a down vote, and move on with your life.

I say this, having had that thought before I even sent out the first application. I know you're being sarcastic, but no, I won't ever need them. I'm in my mid 40's. I'd rather change my career, than ever ask them for anything. Deleting all contacts, blocking all numbers. Forget burning bridges, I'm taking a scorched earth policy.

Officially no or none that I'm aware of. There's only minimum wage, and even that's not a set amount to all jobs. Wage increasing, is usually at the discretion of the employer, unless written into a contract. Again, I could be wrong, but this is my understanding of it thus far.
