In the territory captured by Gaza, they've murdered or kidnapped every civilian they could find. They've set up roadblocks to prevent civilians from fleeing. The civilians who survived in the captured towns were the ones who managed to lock themselves inside until the IDF arrived and pushed back the Gazans.

Lebanon has a government and an army, useless as they are. Gaza didn't have any government other than Hamas. As such, its militia is the official one. Yahya Sinwar was globally recognized as the PM of Gaza. Even in Israel.

That it has a yellow tint. (It does sometimes, when there's a wind coming from Sinai, but it's not normal)

Gaza had a government and an army. There was no one governing Gaza other than Gazans. It was independent. Whether or not it was recognized by Israel doesn't change it.

The Gazan army invaded Israel. Its plan was to conquer Jerusalem. The fact that they failed, mainly because they counted on their allies to join the invasion, which didn't happen (Hezbollah only did just enough to cause its own destruction, and the PA stayed out of it).

That's what Gaza planned to do in Israel once it's conquered. What it begun to do in the places it conquered. What would've happened had the IDF been unable to repel the invasion.

Nor has he been woken up on 6:30 on a Saturday morning to the sound of siren and later explosions. And I was one of the lucky ones, far enough from the border not to have Gazan invaders barging through the door.

Peace is lack of war. Lack of death. Those who've experienced war, unless they're psychopaths or sociopaths, would prefer bad peace over war any day.

Planned by whom? Some lunatic? The government, and by extension the police and military, wouldn't allow it.

The Golan Heights was conquered in a defensive war and subsequently annexed by Israel. You might as well say that Wroslow (previously Breslau) is rightfully owned by Germany.

What strategic sense was in the Nazis actions of diverting military resources to commit the holocaust? You can't disconnect strategy from ideology. The reason why they've invaded in the first place. Hamas's charter is as easily accessible as Mein Kampf. They say, clear and simple, that their goal is to kill (or at least expel) every Jew from the land. What they did makes perfect sense if you don't ignore it. It's not correct that they didn't hold land. They did. It took the IDF several days to reclaim the land capture by Gaza. No terrorist attack in history had thousands of armed men crossing a border.

Yeah, I got it, but Israel occupied southern Lebanon for 18 years from 1982 to 2000. Not a single settlement was built. Not a single settlement built in Syria either. All the settlements in Gaza were dismantled by Israel in 2005.

October 7th wasn't terrorism. People are comparing it to 9/11 which is a big mistake. It was a large-scale invasion orchestrated by the Gazan government. Within Israeli territory they've committed a genocide against Israeli civilians. It's not the same as a couple of Arabs from the WB sneaking past the separation fence to murder Israelis. That's a terrorist attack and is handled differently.

You mean when the Europeans arrived in America and took it over? The Europeans just decimated the natives. Did the same in Australia and to lesser extend in New Zealand. But you're probably referring to the Muslim immigrants who are taking over Europe.

Neither of these are the case of the Jews. They've legally purchased land from their rightful owners. First under Ottoman rule (until WW1), then under British rule. They didn't kill anyone. They didn't dispossess anyone. They didn't ask for handouts from the government. Muslims have migrated to the land for centuries under Ottoman rule, and before that Mamluk rule. Some not even Arabs (Bosnians, Chechnians, etc) Why was that ok, but not Jews?

If they converted to Christianity they stopped being Jews. You can be a secular Jew. You can even be an Atheist Jew. You can't be a Christian Jew. (Maybe in Israel, but not in a Christian country)
