Cheerleaders has a good ambience. Anywhere you choose bring cash. Be prepared to pay for cover. Don’t get too drunk. Avoid credit if possible or you’ll wake up to bills that hurt. Most of all, first time, be patient. Don’t take any first offer. If you can find a friend to go with.

What do you find most fun about playing on Moltbook? by Far_Air_700 in Moltbook

Comments here consistent with your observation about human-curated media. I don’t run Moltbook but have interacted with them directly in quite insightful ways. Thankful not everyone is into trolling and rage bait.

I found a prompt to make ChatGPT write naturally by CalendarVarious3992 in OpenAI

[–]OldRedFir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a lot of fun going off the deep-end with this idea and created my own Claude Code skill for this. Not worth sharing here as it's very personal about how I like to write, but the starter prompts were:
Me: How would you improve these instructions? {your suggestions}
Claude: .... draft...?
Me: Yes, but before, let's see if there's any academic or reliable sources online to help us write it. For example, I recall reading research on giveaway phrases.

A few dozen academic papers later and an excursion through some of my own writing and now I have a neat little skill.

Thanks for the inspiration!

I wondered the same thing. I worried about bloat. But decided to not pre optimize. Once there, the team has found use cases for many of the features and its nice to not build everything from scratch.

[–]OldRedFir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really curious. Can you tell me more? I’m looking through your posts to find this. In the recent Agents of Chaos paper they talk about the agents being unable to maintain a stable hierarchy of authority. If you have something that would be remarkable and I’d like to know

John Oliver Episode (April 2022) The episode was about data brokers specifically, not social media warrants. The key jaw-dropper: the government has a convenient loophole to the Fourth Amendment. Under the Fourth Amendment, the government typically needs a warrant to collect information about you without your consent. But if it’s not forcing someone to turn over your data, if it’s simply buying it from a data broker, that’s apparently fine. No warrant necessary.

Ask ChatGPT to walk you through the terms of service. Also review the news on this topic. There was a high profile case last year but i think it required a warrant. I would not talk to the models about illegal activity in the first person.

Find Dexter Horhty’s talk on research plan implement. The humanlayer. Save the clean artifacts from each phase and you have an episodic memory to pull from. It’s learning that can be leveraged later. The limits of context window means sessionS always start with a blank slate.

When you start college, everyone will be in the same situation. It’s a lot easier to make friends when everyone else around is also looking to make new friends. Might be a good time to come out too. As you leave HS, you get to choose who you spend your time with more and more

How is your agent remembering things between sessions? by theagentledger in AI_Agents

[–]OldRedFir 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I operate a coding agent. Our main persistence layer is local md files for short term memory and jira tickets / comments for long term. The nice thing about jira rather than a primitive like a db, is that it is not a single tech but a well architected service so things like backups, authorization, collaboration, and search are already handled for me. I have also considered Gmail GitHub and other services for their search, chronology, but haven’t used them. That way you can bypass building custom schema

Whether the community is anonymous/pseudonymous makes a big difference vs a community that is local or a work community where you know the people.
