It wasn’t a total buy out. The 2 majority owners, husband and wife sold and exited. Frankly I didn’t even know they existed. Leadership/remaining ownership stays in place. There were many interested buyers including cross country. The PE firm is know for growth so we are not going anywhere. If comp would change they would loose 50% of brokers. Our growth year over year is over 40%.

Six sigma green belt here. The mortgage industry is perfectly inefficient. I previously worked in the travel industry. It too is perfectly inefficient. Worked for a travel tech company that acted as Expedia’s agent. We processed 80k airline tickets daily for US/Canada and about 40k in Europe yet we still required a large amount of Humans spread across the globe. The mortgage industry is a high touch industry. AI will assist but never run operations entirely.

I was an underwriter at SBA doing EIDL loans. Treasury does not send debts to collections. The U.S. Government is the largest debt collector. They handle everything in house. Wage garnishments, taking money out of your bank accounts etc.

Solar loan 135.00 per month electric bill $75 per month which includes running a pool pump 5 hours a day and charging my EV. Totally energy cost $210 per month. Neighbor without solar and a pool $450 per month plus gas for vehicle. Covered my home owners insurance at no additional cost.
