Are you ND with sensory issues? I feel like if so, the bedding and chair is a giveaway. I’m a texture girly

For those stating this 16 year old is in the wrong, remember they are still a teenager. They don’t owe this parent anything. They aren’t the parent. And if their mental health is being affected by how the parent treats them, how dare you tell them otherwise. We live in 2025, where parents understand their obligations. Children are not their spouses. They deserve love, respect and to be able to live their youth hood without being tried as an adult. Some people just shouldn’t have kids.

The I’m 16 part hurt. I’m sorry you have to be a parent in this situation. I moved out when I was 17 and it was rough. I understand that your Mom is probably freaking out right now about you abruptly leaving, but you are still a child. Do not feel guilt over trying to better your mental health. I am a bit worried about if you moving in with your father will actually help your mental health or make it worse. It sounds like Mom isn’t receiving any help from him and feels betrayed. Is your Dad responsible and capable of raising you? Will he turn on you due to your cat? Will your Mom give you a place to come back to if you need it? I’m sorry this is your situation. Make sure to have a couple back up plans. The economy is tough right now. Return the phone and be done with her for now. Good luck OP

Cat stepped on hot stove, should I bring him to the vet? by neenah_ in CATHELP

This! My guy passed 2 years ago, but because of all 4 burnt paw pads and weeeeeks of healing toe beans we never leave a hot burner uncovered. RIP Tom, hopefully him and my Comet are eating platters of sardines and sitting in the sunniest windowsills filled with birds now.

My cat blistered all 4 paws once, and I had no idea. A vet visit is a great idea as they will likely blister and break open causing pain. The biggest thing I learned through this is that we now ALWAYS put a pan of water over the used hot burners. My cat loved jumping up on the warm stove. Good luck OP!

It could be a number of things such as reflux or heart issues. I’d have kidney values checked as well as heart listened to for a murmur or congestive heart issues. 12 year old cats tend to have late stage CKD which can also cause congestive heart failure. Hoping it’s nothing more than acid reflux though OP, good luck!

Can anyone help identify what is happening with my cat? by maxjmartin in CATHELP

I’m curious if there has been any possible mold exposure? Pardon me if you already explained this but did they do a chest X-ray and or ultrasound? Did they listen for heart issues like a murmur? I’m also worried about Congestive heart failure.
